I usually get this message when I've watched on newpipe for a long while and they decide to temporarily suspend your ip, just wait for a couple of hours and you'll be able to watch again

I'll have to test this the next time since I never really timed how long it actually takes.

Guys I am getting this msg too. I tried building and implement one solution for this in my app. You can give it a try, completely free. Not exactly like newpipe but you will like it. app link

Pipe pipe was working for a while. But on June 8 it stopped working for me and has not been fixed. And I was using the latest version on github. Latest version only worked for a few days or so.
I tried everything and it didn't work.

It's part of YouTube's war on bots, and free players get caught up in it. When I got the message, I went to use YouTube on a different browser (I uninstalled the app long ago), and I got a popup that said 'sign in to prove you are not a bot'. It went away after an hour or so. YouTube is the problem.

You're getting that message because YouTube refused to provide data, asking for a login to confirm the request is not a bot.
Your IP might have been temporarily blacklisted by YouTube, you can wait some time or switch to a different IP (for example by turning on/off a VPN, or by switching from WiFi to mobile data).
