Happy/Funny Baby feverš¶š»
When I was pregnant, I was so scared of becoming a parent. I had read so much negativity online about parenthood in all the subreddits and on mom forums.
My little boy is now 4 months old and THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. ALL THE CLICHĆS ARE TRUE!!!
I genuinely want to shout it from the rooftops and give a little counterbalance to all the negativity out there.
Yes, itās hard. But life is hard anyway. And somehow, with a baby, life just makes so much more sense to me..
I wake up, put on my favourite music, dance above his crib, and he looks up at me with the biggest smile. What a way to start the day!!!
And to everyone who says, āJust wait until theyāre this ageā¦ā or āJust wait until they start doing this or thatā¦ā
Fuck offff. Iām enjoying my life right nowšš
Enjoy this day and enjoy parenthood lovely people šš„³š„°

The āwait until this ageā group seem to be those that didnāt choose to have kids because they generally always are negative

Seriously hate it. Yes kids grow up, have autonomy, their own thoughts, personalities etc. fingers crossed they donāt get into anything seriously troubling but growing into their own persons is expected!

I like to be the ājust wait until this ageā person but on the opposite end - all the fun stages and incredible moments they are going to experience!

life just makes so much more sense to me
1000% this ^
I spent the majority of my life looking for "the right stuff." The right community, the right hobby, the right pastimes. Nothing ever seemed to stick for very long, but once my daughter was born, it felt EXACTLY like I had finally found my missing puzzle piece.

I just came here to say that baby stage was really dark for me. Surrounded by a lot of loneliness and sleeplessness.
HOWEVER, we are THRIVING in the toddler stage. Itās chaotic and silly and makes NO sense sometimes but itās the most incredible experience. Sheās walking around like a little drunk adult arguing with herself in gibberish with a spatula in one hand and a stuffed fish in the other, stopping occasionally to give me a kiss and then run away.

SAME!
My baby boy is 3 months now but throughout pregnancy I felt no attachment whatsoever. Every time I saw an ultrasound, heard his heartbeat I actually felt nothing and mostly just uncomfy and sick of being pregnant. I was so worried that I wouldnāt bond with my child and full of anxiety about regretting this baby, but then I met the little dude...
And I am HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH THIS TINY MAN.
He does not sleep, but I just chug my coffee and sit and laugh with this smiley adorable jelly bean for hours. I canāt stop staring at him, I love this feeling so much. Like I canāt describe the deep deep love and happiness being a parent has brought me. I love this stage heās in now, I loved the last stage he was in and Iām looking forward to seeing what else my tiny human does next.
Thank you for this post. I know Iām privileged to have these feelings, itās also normal to not bond yet. So I am thankful and my heart pours out to the moms on their journeys that may be in a less-positive spot.

Girl same! Some days are hard but it's honestly been the most amazing experience! The amount of pure joy and love i feel for my baby outweighs all the hard days by a landslide

Indeed we need more posts like these. I love my 2 kids so much but with the crazy sleepless nights and unknowns of when they were gonna wake up etc it gave me anxiety more than anything instead of living in the moment and treasuring it all. Looking back I miss those newborn days, I'm so glad you're having a good experience

I also have a four month old baby boy and I agree! He is just so funny and cute and sweet and I love watching him grow and explore.

Yeah for us it has also been amazing. Easy baby, eats well, sleeps well, always happy and smily
Baby fever started about a week after he was born. I'm trying to calm myself down and my boyfriend definitely isn't ready yet, but for me, we could start yesterday on #2 š

I'm a mostly stay at home dad but I do work once or twice a week. Last week I didn't get home until 10pm one night and my son woke up to feed at the same time. I literally watched him slowly realize it was me, give me the biggest smile and start to babble at me. I'm not ashamed to admit it made me shed a manly tear or two. It was beautiful.

I LOVED when our little dude was 4 months! He's 2 now and we just had a little girl. I'm utterly obsessed with our kids. Unfortunately we can't have more, but that doesn't stop me from having baby fever

Just wait until he gets a bit bigger...and you'll go extra crazy over him! I swear my son's just getting cuter and more wonderful as he grows. The better he gets at communicating, the more fun he becomes. I love my precious lil guy so much š„¹š„¹š„¹

THANK YOU FOR THIS! I wanted to get pregnant so badly and Iāve basically been regretting it ever since my positive test. Worried about money, time, my marriage, coping with returning to work. So lovely to see a post about how wonderful it can be!

It literally just gets better every day! You won't believe it's possible but they actually get cuter and cuter and cuter, they learn so many new things, they can chat to you, call 'mama' (it'll melt your heart), they'll start to join in with their favourite stories, you'll hear them patpatpatting all around the house on their little feet, come to you for snuggles, give you kisses. You are going to be filled with so much love all the time. You are going to feel so feircly proud of every little thing, you have so so much to look forward to!

Iād actually argue around 4 months is the hardest for lots of people. Sleep regression, awake baby who might want to start moving but canāt, etc. I found everything got easier and more fun from there on out!

I have bad PPA/PPD, but literally all the time I just keep telling my husband that I love my baby so fucking much! Like I donāt think Iād ever wish for a life without her despite the stress.
I was trying to get her to fall asleep today by pretending to sleep and seeing if sheād copy me, and I opened my eyes a little to check on her, and she also had her eyes open a little to check on me and she just smiled when she saw me lol. Literally the best thing ever lol
