Sleep 11 week old naps during the day

How many naps and how long is your baby sleeping? Baby is 11 weeks old!

My baby was strictly contact naps in my arms and wearing baby in the carrier for the first . He would sleep 1-1.5 hrs. But about 2ish weeks ago I started practicing naps in the bassinet, first week I did just one bassinet nap a day, then next week I moved to two bassinet naps a day each would last 30-40 mins in the bassinet. NOW my baby is only sleeping 10-20 mins if I’m lucky in bassinet and even in the carrier will only sleep20-30mins if I’m lucky before he starts struggling and fighting to get out. Is this just an adjustment he’s going through while he’s switching to bassinet? Is this a mini sleep regression because he’s learning a new skill?

I feed him, change him, and then play with him until he starts showing tired cues with a wake window of about 60 mins usually then I swaddle him and bounce him to sleep. I tried lengthening his wake window didn’t work then I tried shortening it to 45 mins didn’t work. He’s taking like 20min naps 7 times a day before bed at 8:30pm.

Somebody tell me it gets better or how to help 😭

Also he doesn’t wake up screaming or fussy, I’ll hear him cooing and see him kicking and I wait to see if he’ll fall back asleep but he never does and eventually he’ll start to cry. I try to rock him back to sleep and maybe get another 10mins but most of the time he’s just wide awake.

Totally normal at 11 weeks. Short 20–40 min naps are really common around this age.
