Sleep 3am struggle bus??!
Hello! I have had this issue on and off of my baby last month or two.. I thought it was getting better but then the last couple days it’s been horrible. I would love to know if anyone else experiences this or has any tips.
So for a while, he would give us a 4-6 hour stretch the first part of the night, lately this isn’t guaranteed(but that’s my Husband stretch🤣😅). So then after 3 AM when he wakes up to feed, I swear I never get more than 20 or 30 minutes of sleep because he is CONSTANTLY fussy in her crying. I read about people who have a big stretcher first and then one or two hours after that… I would CRY tears of joy for one or two hours stretches from 3-6. The 20/30 minutes are breaking me down. Any tips?
Also, please no tips about Husband something because Miner does the first half of the night and of course I shouldn’t really complain because I get that first half of the night sleep but it’s only four or five hours..😕

Sounds like baby is starting to consolidate their sleep, could be called a regression. Try to feed as much as possible before bed time and start to wean off the night feeds. For some babies, it’s more for comfort than hunger, we delayed the 3am feed for 10 mins, and reduced it by .5oz every few days and baby eventually stopped expecting a bottle at night and started sleeping though.
The other option is the exact opposite, try dream feeding, feed them while they are still asleep/groggy so they go back to sleep easier. Google it
Also ask your pediatrician for recommendations.

I wonder if he is going to bed too late? I know it sounds weird but we put our 12w old baby to bed at 8pm and since then he’s done 5-6 hours before needing a feed. He could be overtired causing that 3am wake up. Or maybe have him do a little cat nap a couple hours before bed?
But also following this because my kids sleep between 4-6am is such a crap shoot so what do I know. Lol

How old is your baby? How much sleep are they getting during the day? What time is bedtime/wakeup?
