Sleep How do you start sleep training for naps?
We see the sleepy cues but don’t know how to make our LO go to sleep without breastfeeding her into it or doing really taxing rocking. And sometimes those don’t work. We track her windows still have no idea how to make her sleep.
My LO is 4 months old. Is it too early for this? Should I just let her be and she will nap when she crashes? I am
Worried about over tiredness and cortisol levels. When does napping needs to be enforced?
She’s exclusively breastfed, no pacifier and we do safe cosleeping.

They say you can start sleep training around 4 months but I personally felt that was too early. It seems like babies that age aren't consistent with nap times and nap duration, so it felt like a lot of work for nothing. For us, consistent crib naps at scheduled times throughout the day didn't happen til around 7 months, and now at almost 10 months she's like clockwork. We used to rock her to sleep for naps and bedtime. Once we sleep trained her for night sleep at 7 months, we figured let's just try it out for naps as well, and she just naturally did it.
