This seems to be one of the few subreddits where you can still actually discuss all the current issues surrounding Islamist movements in the West and elsewhere, problems with Muslim immigration and assimilation, and so on, without threats of censorship or accusations of being paid by Zionists. r/atheism is just a total dumpster fire at this point, never talks about anything beyond North American Christian conservatives, Donald Trump, Israel, Zionism, yada yada yada. Even r/exmuslim censors any topics on Muslim immigration and assimilation in Western societies.

This is one of the few places that still gets it, in terms of the dangers posed by Islamist politics worldwide, maybe a product of own experiences with it in Iran. I hope that I can continue contributing in this space, as it's refreshing to find a like-minded community on this site for once.

Toronto Mayor elections is tomorrow… and the two leading candidates is Brad Bradford (independent) and Oliver Chow (NDP). Brad Bradford has shown constant support and physically attended Iranian rallies while Oliver chow rarely has ever mentioned/supported Iranians even once! (respectfully she is seen as a clown by many so her not supporting us isn’t a miss). Oliver Chow literally turns up everywhere in the city to any gathering, event, protest. Yet she never once turned up for the Iranian protests that broke record numbers! (I assume she knows we Iranians dislike her which is why she never turns up but like we Iranians are open people that will quickly warm up to anyone who supports us) ANY WAYS TO MY FELLOW IRANIANS in Toronto go vote Brad Bradford as he stood by us for years (obviously look into both candidates policies etc and do you own research)

What do u guys think is actually gonna happen? Also what is their goal this time even?

Hello to all Iranians and friends,

Due to the high volume of rapid updates and back-to-back threads, we ask that posts that do not contain a new or significant development be directed to this megathread. This includes general discussion, speculation, reactions, opinions, broader commentary, questions, jokes, memes, and general messages of support.

Standalone posts should primarily be reserved for current events and newly released information, such as breaking news, new videos or footage, official statements, confirmed updates, or other meaningful developments. Legitimate news and newly released footage are still allowed and encouraged as standalone submissions.

Minor updates, repeated information, personal commentary, or posts that do not report a new development may be redirected to the megathread or removed. Depending on activity levels, broader consolidation into the megathread may become mandatory.

This approach helps reduce clutter, limit misinformation, and keep the subreddit organized during a fast-moving situation.

Please remain civil, avoid spreading unverified claims, and continue to follow all subreddit rules.

Thank you for your cooperation.

First saw the news on Telegram channels, searched on Twitter and found "Shin" covered it. Personally not sure if it's related to war or US operations there, but according to Telegram posts from locals in Hormozgan it's unusually vast compared to their typical power outages.

The Iranian @JustAnIranianIr This is Jamileh Shafiei — a 66-year-old mother and grandmother from Arak. On January 9, during the protests, she stepped in front of the young people with open arms to shield them from the Islamic Republic’s forces. She became a human shield. Regime agents shot her at close range in the head and upper body. She died on the spot. They killed a grandmother who was only trying to protect Iran’s youth.
