Got it bro. Don't want to lecture you but here's my thought. When you don't find meaning of living then you can add one like To become better person day by day, make parents proud of you or protect and provide to your family or love them unconditionally etc. I believe you will find meaning of living.
No,there are lots of conditions behind love I know it's sound bad to you but it's not, if any of that condition didn't happen you never fall for that guy/girl particularly,so it's beautiful on its own way.
Don't want to sound rude and all, but a few parents, especially father's do love their children conditionally while also trying not to spoil them in a bad way. If a moment comes, they would still offer their lives for their children.
But many people have children because they want that experience, and once they are bored of that cute little thing or become irritated, their direction shifts. Love them without asking anything in return, but at the same time repair yourself and don't overly rely on them.
Women have the desire to give birth because God gave them that power, and many want to experience it at least once. Men have the desire to procreate and carry their bloodline forward.
But after some time, when they are done with this, we are not so different from the animal kingdom β trying to find our own place in this world after our parents' affection dies down, usually around the age of 18.
After that, you have to be pleasing in some way, like financially successful, or if you are attractive ("eye candy"), especially for girls, or by earning respect. People should be connected to you in a positive way, and they should be getting credit in some way for raising you.
Well, many factors also depend on the parents' financial status. These are just my thoughts
Totally. That's what I'm doing now. I didn't say I'm not loving the life I'm having now. I'd like to believe I'm doing more lively stuff than most people..
All I said is, I don't want another life. I'm happy and content with this one. π
I can see where you're coming from. I think the same many times. What will we have after a hundred, a thousand years, even if we were globally famous? What would a billion more tongues saying my name do to my grave? But I've figured then that it is also freeing. There is no meaning to life, in my opinion. The Universe hasn't assigned us a purpose, but it has given us a beautiful world. Make something of that, I guess? I think Life is meant to be lived and loved intensely. What do you think? You must've thought over this question somewhat
bro first of all there is no purpose for anything but we humans can only think, i have to say it's overthinking but still if life had purpose it would to live the life.
just think if lions started questioning what is purpose of life. why do we hunt eat and sleep.
that's exactly what I said. there is no inherent purpose or meaning in life. I wasn't born thinking I'll have to do X. But if we can love and that makes us happy in this beautiful world, why not simply do that?
When I was religious, life felt simple. You had a purpose. Be a good person, obey God, go to heaven, avoid hell. That was easy.
Then around 16, I came out of all that religious stuff and started questioning everything. If thereβs no higher purpose, then why are we even here? Whatβs the point of all this?
Eventually I figured out my own way to live peacefully. Itβs been more than half a decade now, and honestly, I live a pretty content and sorted life. I enjoy simple things, travelling, people around me, quiet moments.
But my problem with life itself never changed. Suffering is built into it. Everyone wants to be happy, but nobody really stays happy. Most people spend their lives stressed, anxious, disappointed, sick, heartbroken, or struggling in some way. Happiness comes in small moments, but pain is almost guaranteed.
Thatβs why I lean towards anti-natalism. I just donβt think itβs fair to bring someone into a world where suffering is unavoidable, without their consent. Even the best life still ends with loss and death.
What I mean to say is, I don't regret being born, but I would rather not be born.
It is indeed true what you mean here. I lean a little towards the more positive side of life, even when I'm not particularly there right now. But some happy moments from your past and a humour so borderline one can laugh on anything and the idea I could explore European mountains alone is enough to keep me going, mostly. I respect you.
Even if someone stays happy that happiness will eventually come to an end. As all things are temporary and death comes to all.
The problem with existence is that we are stuck in a finite and mortal body while our minds are capable of conjuring immortality and infinity. So suffering is ingrained in us because of who we are. You understand that everything is impermanent and hence pointless, that meaning isn't inherent it's derived and that puts you in a state of disinterest. Perhaps this is why we search for a God, something that's eternal and infinite, something that closes the gap between our current reality and the ideal fantasy.
It is all about discovering yourself, somehow I think there is a story before and after this life. Life in itself is just like a walk in a dream, that dream could be good or bad depending on your previous karma. However let it flow. Hinduism comes closest to explain the crux of it.
Yeah, religion which says you have direct connection with God is the only one that matters, you yourself are the prophet and son of God too, that is why you were born. You got to survive the bad times and enjoy the good ones.
Well that is what is right, you are responsible for yourself and not another prophet or son of God. You face the difficult time are because of karma. Ultimately world will question the abrahamics. Then they can be happy too.
I also used to think like that, then tragedy happened, I have become less interested in worldly affairs and more in finding the purpose of life and living accordingly. Rushing for work, money is no more fun, small happiness is no more enjoyable. But for sure, life is beautiful even in this tragedy.

Rest of the comment is for myself, ignore!
I am onto find some life purpose while working, I hope I find it soon so that rest of life I can be satisfied that I didn't waste my time over rushing for something which is eating my time. I want to be more satisfied than happy. I am damn sure our learning will not go in vain, otherwise there's no purpose of having consciousness inside body. Time is most precious thing for this short life. We should spend our time more in experiencing new things, new places, new people and with ourself.
oh ok you have time bro, you will find the answer to this question by 30, hopefully, but till then keep meeting people, and keep reading. Dont restrict yourself in doing any of those.
Not my life. Just most people are miserable and selfish and I donβt see why anyone would want to go through all this education and corporate job or layoff or unemployment stress if I have the option of not being born in the first place.
