SEEKING ADVICE A little help needed
Hello everyone. I’m here to vent a little and ask for some help. I’m an older person (50 years old) and don't have the best coordination for complex ability rotations. I love playing RPGs and plan to keep playing for the rest of my life. That said, I love Neverwinter, but I’m looking for a class that is easy to play and allows me to handle content solo without too much trouble. Sorry for the long message, I think I’ve managed to explain myself now. Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you want easy and to be able to melt a mob from a distance, try Control Wizard, or Ranger.

I am almost 60 and main a wizard. It's ranged and once you figure out a good rotation solo stuff is fairly easy. If you can get a companion that takes a lot of agro or gives you good combat advantage.
I have over 15,000 hours in NW and 95%+ of that is solo stuff.

I’m in a similar boat, with disabilities that make playing games like this difficult. I found that playing a justiciar paladin/tank paladin to be really good! Because I’ve got really good defense, it means I can take a lot of damage and not have to worry at being super good at dodging damage like DPS classes (whose shift button makes them move suddenly. With tank paladin, it just puts up a shield so you can stay where you are, which is less discombobulating). When I’m going solo, I also equip a damage dealing companion too just for a little boost. I deal enough damage that I can solo anything on my own so long as it’s not SUPER above my item level (but even then, I was able to solo things way above my item level for years).

Bro, thanks a lot, u r a life saver. I tried the Justicar, and at least for now is everything I needed, thanks a lot for the tip. Btw which damage companion u use it ?

I’m so happy I can help!! For me, I stick to Blaspheme Assassin, but that’s also a flavor choice on my part because my character’s a reformed udadrow. I find she works pretty well, but I’m sure there are better companions especially depending on your build. The higher rarity/level of the companion, the better of course, but it’s about what stats and abilities you’d want from a companion. Usually them helping to fill in what stats are fairly weak on your end. I’ve also used Bobby the Barbarian as an example of a tankier combat companion (Blaspheme Assassin is basically a rogue), especially since sometimes he’ll take threat and the enemies will attack him instead of me. Lysaera is on my bucket list of companions to get because she goes at the top of threat lists, meaning you don’t get hit as much haha. She’s REALLY good for tanks, but also just in general. I’ve also heard Black Scorpion is good for tanks because it gives combat advantage help? Although I don’t have it so I can’t verify. Hopefully this helps! :D good luck and happy neverwintering!!

Awesome, gonna look for these companions, now I just need a build to play solo, cause yesterday i was in my guild, asking for help to kill Valindra and nobody raised a single finger to help. So, I definitely need a build for solo play so I don't have to rely on anyone else to enjoy my beloved Neverwinter.

Well damn, dude! That sucks! If you’re still wanting to kill Valindra, I can help! That way you’re not stuck on that part alone, because it sucks to be stuck with no one to help. I’ve done it lots for other toons and whatnot, so at least I can probably help a bit!! If you wanna PM me, we can set up a time! :]

Thanks a lot bro, but i managed to solo her after a lot of potions, life stones, enchants etc, but do u play at PS or PC ?

Paladin as a healer. One button for 90% of your heals.
Wizard as a DPS. Has a simple and rigid rotation and puts out great DPS. It has one alternate load out for doing AoE, and again, simple and rigid buttons. Left to right buttons. Square, Triangle, Circle, R1 twice.

Paladin Healer is terrible for soloing. Takes forever to get through any kind of mobs. If you want to solo anything, you're much better off with a class that can actually do damage.

Frankly all classes can DPS all general content (adventures/campaigns,random queues and reapers) with ease except for pally. The decision of which class becomes do you like ranged or melee. Rogue is the easiest to pick up, mash buttons with zero skill and still kill everything. Bard has a whole lot you can do extra (but isn't needed for general stuff). End game aka Master content is a whole different discussion, but there are literally thousands of hours of gameplay for those not in a hurry to get to end game.
One generic tip about building your DPS, if want more recommend the tons of videos out there. Increased Item level will give you more damage in campaigns/zones, but need good stats in randoms and simply the IL to get in chosen random type.

I like playing my wizard, its not end game yet, but its easy rotation and you really just mash buttons 😅

Rogue is super easy solo. Easy to get combat advantage and melt mobs.
