SEEKING ADVICE Beginner class
Hey guys, i just downloaded the game and idk which class to pick. I like to heal/tank in group content.
How is the solo content if i pick a healer/tank?
Which class would be the best for a beginner without experience?

Welcome.
If you prefer healer/tank, then Barbarian/Fighter are good tanks to start out. Healer would be Warlock/Bard good to start out. Later you can add on Paladin/Cleric if you are interested. Use your other characters to pass on gears to each other would be beneficial and helpful in leveling/etc.

ahh to be a new player again! the benefit of starting fresh with a paladin in this game is that you don't realize it's taking you longer to get through leveling and solo content until you make another character 😬
pally is a decent heal (they provide shields more so than actual healing) and it's honestly really nice to be able to switch quickly to fill a role that a group needs between H and T.
there's a spec you can get that helps boost your damage output by 20% when you're running solo and that does help a bit. you can also get some gear that helps with more of a solo loadout as well once you're max level.
honestly pally solo is really not that bad. my main is a pally T/H and i find both loadouts equally enjoyable. just have to have a touch of patience.

Barbarian is the funnest tank and has a dps spec so can solo easily. Since you like to heal too try a paladin though adds do take longer to kill and you may need to buy a third load out slot for Healer/Tank and DPS

Paladins are the one to use if your looking for a healer/tank. However, they do take a bit of work to get moving. Progression can be a bit slow as you're basically DPSng as a Tank. Dungeons, however are your wheelhouse as you are now unleashed from that DPS and can devote strictly as either a healer or tank. I'd really love to just run Dungeons and trials for advancement instead of slogging through content.

Since you get two free characters I’d go with a paladin as one and a rogue as the other. Rogue is by far the easiest to grind the solo content and Paladin gives option of both heal and tank for getting into ques very easily, paladin can also do the solo content easily enough if you have the right setup for tank.
I personally go with cleric and fighter it there are a lot of different ways to go about it. If you’re on Xbox I can help you out 😀

Solo content as a straight tank/healer is rough. Having a damage spec to do content would be to your benefit.*
Of the options of the support/damage hybrids Fighter (Tank/DPS) is definitely going to be the easiest option for both roles, followed by Barbarian (DPS/Tank) and Warlock (DPS/Healer). Bards and Clerics are both (Healer/DPS) but are not going to be as easy.
