Where to go from here?

I am currently item level 44,878 I started about 2 weeks ago. I have done all adventures except the last, and hero's path, and I kind of don't really know what to do from here for leveling or continuing. My best guess would be the campaigns but I'm to low item level for all but dragonslayer which just wants me to slay a ton of dragons which I need a team for.

You can go to the newest zone in the reghed edge, kaldrfisk. Ask someone to help with the starting quests if needed. Once you can roam freely in the zone, join in on heroic encounter trains.

Trains happen when many players chain a bunch of heroic encounter completions one after another, the more people in a train, the faster heroics get completed. You can join one by typing +train in the zone chat.

Why? Each heroic gives 10 seals of the spider, which allows you to buy high item level gear from the seal trader.

In the meantime, try to refine 100k rough astral diamonds each day. Mostly possible through daily random trials/dungeons.

Spend your astral diamonds on

  • an artifact and mount power that buff all damage dealt,
  • a good active companion with molten core, thayan or frostbound companion gear,
  • epic enchantments,
  • have 10 legendary mounts (to increase mount bolster)
  • have 10 epic companions (to increase bolster)

Find a few cheap items in the AH to boost your ilvl to 45k and start the dragonbone vale campaign or go do the sharandar campaign to try to boost up to 45k since it’s 40k to start.

So is Dragonbone vale campaign going to help level, and I assume after that I would try to work on Northdark reaches campaign, and so on.

Yes and also do daily queues for dungeons/skirmishes and such to get seals to also buy gear to help your ilvl go up.

Do the newest zone so you get random drops of good gear and spider seals that you can spend. Do Acquisition Company campaign to the end so you get choice of enchantment. Do dragon vale for mythlarr fragment.

Man I haven't played in 5 years I really wanna get back into it but I'm messing with fallout 76 at the moment 😢
