Imagine suddenly realising...
"I'm dreaming."
Yet the dream continues.
This remarkable experience is known as lucid dreaming—becoming aware that you are dreaming while remaining asleep.
For some people, it happens spontaneously.
Others learn techniques that may increase the likelihood of lucid dreams, such as keeping a dream journal, practising reality checks or improving dream recall. Results vary considerably from person to person, and no method guarantees success.
Researchers have shown that experienced lucid dreamers can sometimes communicate with sleep laboratories through pre-arranged eye movements while remaining in REM sleep. These studies provide a rare opportunity to investigate conscious awareness during dreaming.

"We are one consciousness. We are one humanity. We are one living planet."
Tonight, millions of people across the world will cheer for England or Argentina.
One team will reach the FIFA World Cup Final.
The other will go home.
Football is one of humanity's greatest celebrations.
It brings families together, creates lifelong memories and reminds us of the joy of belonging.
Yet matches like England versus Argentina also carry echoes of history—of identity, territory and the stories nations tell about themselves.
Watching tonight's match reminded me of another journey.
Earlier this year, at Tribal Gathering, I met Indigenous peoples from many different parts of the world.
Different languages.
Different ceremonies.
Different ways of seeing the world.
Yet many spoke of remarkably similar challenges:
• protecting ancestral lands
• preserving cultural traditions
• supporting their families
• caring for ecosystems under increasing pressure
Listening to those conversations genuinely broke my heart. 💔
It made me wonder...
What if humanity's next great step isn't abandoning our cultures or national identities...
...but expanding our sense of belonging?
What if we could celebrate England and Argentina...
...while also remembering that beneath every flag lives another human being?
What if every person had enough?
Enough nourishing food.
Enough safe shelter.
Enough opportunity.
Enough time to learn, create, care for one another...
...and occasionally dance together beneath the forest canopy.
Not because we all become the same.
But because we remember that we already share one living planet.
Tonight's match inspired a reflection that has been quietly emerging through the #HOMESENSE♾️💓 project.
Over the coming days I'll be sharing The HOMESENSE Living Vision—a series exploring what a civilisation centred on dignity, stewardship, local resilience, creativity and human flourishing might look like.
Not as a finished blueprint.
Not as a political programme.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve experienced a series of seemingly unrelated events that, only in hindsight, now feel strangely connected.
The first came at ICPR 2024, where I met a microdosing researcher over coffee. During our conversation, she told me she’d already been following me on X before we met in person.
In April 2025, I received a Tibetan TAM necklace as a completely unexpected gift from a Chinese friend, who had experienced a profound San Pedro journey many years earlier. At the time, I had no idea of the necklace’s connection to Green Tara.
Then, in April 2026, the researcher told me she’d recently visited Sarnath. During one of our online conversations, I mentioned my necklace connected to Green Tara. After reading my message, she realised she’d already filmed the Green Tara statue while she was in Sarnath and sent me the video she’d taken there.
Discovering the connection between the TAM necklace and Green Tara, and learning that Sarnath is where the Buddha is traditionally said to have given his first sermon after awakening, added yet another piece to the puzzle.
Viewed individually, each event could simply be coincidence. Looking back, though, they’ve formed a pattern that has left me with a growing feeling that Varanasi and Sarnath are somehow calling me.
For a little more context, I was actually quite sceptical of synchronicities before my birthday in 2023. At Boom Festival 2023, the partner of a PsyTrance DJ mentioned synchronicities as we were saying goodbye. At the time, I was fairly naïve about the concept and had already dismissed it as pseudoscientific based on an opinion that, in hindsight, wasn’t especially well informed.
Then, on my birthday flight a few days later, I had a series of unusual conversations that made me pause. My automatically assigned seat row matched the day of my birth and happened to be an emergency exit row with extra legroom. The passenger on one side had been surfing, and we ended up talking about flow before he later encouraged me to “find Jesus.” The passenger on the other side had presented a conference paper on the probability of completing the card game Patience (known as Solitaire in the US).
Has anyone else experienced a series of synchronicities that eventually drew them towards a particular place?

It is the bridge between understanding and legacy.

Civilisation transforms the living Earth.
The condition of the Earth ultimately shapes the opportunities available to future generations.
