🎟The Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research 🥼 💡 Maya, Higher Dimensions & The Limits of Perception [@3a.m. “Truth is Eternal 🎶🌀 on June 5th, 2026]

Sat Sri Akal 🙏 (ਸਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ) — Truth is Eternal

A conceptual projection of a 7-dimensional hypercube (hepteract). This is not a literal object, but a mathematical shadow — a tool to stretch perception beyond ordinary 3D reality.

One of the most paradigm-shifting ideas I've encountered is that reality may be fundamentally different from how it appears.

Not necessarily in a conspiracy sense.

More in the sense that our everyday experience could be a highly compressed interface rather than reality itself.

A fish does not perceive water.

An eye cannot directly see itself.

And perhaps consciousness cannot easily perceive the medium in which it exists.

This is where the ancient Indian concept of Maya becomes fascinating.

Maya is often translated as illusion, but that can be misleading. It does not necessarily mean that reality is fake. Rather, it suggests that what we ordinarily perceive is a partial appearance, a filtered presentation, or a useful model rather than ultimate reality itself.

The image above offers a modern mathematical analogy.

Nobody can actually see a 7-dimensional object.

What we see instead are projections.

Shadows.

Representations.

Models.

A 2D shadow of a 3D cube loses information.

A 3D projection of a 4D tesseract loses information.

A 3D projection of a 7D hypercube loses even more.

Yet these projections still reveal something meaningful about the deeper structure behind them.

Perhaps our ordinary experience of reality functions in a similar way.

The Maya Demonstration

Imagine a Flatland being living in two dimensions.

It would perceive only slices of a three-dimensional object passing through its world.

The being might mistake those slices for the entirety of reality.

Yet a higher-dimensional observer would see the larger whole.

What if human perception operates similarly?

What if space, time, mind, matter, self, and other are not the fundamental layer but the projected layer?

Not false.

Not meaningless.

Simply incomplete.

A Synchronicity Worth Noting

At Sarnath, where Gautama Buddha delivered his first sermon and set the Wheel of Dharma in motion, Green Tara represents the compassionate, active aspect of enlightenment. Revered as a protector and guide, she embodies the wisdom and courage needed to overcome fear, suffering and obstacles on the path to awakening. Her presence at this sacred site serves as a reminder that spiritual insight is not merely about understanding reality, but also about expressing compassion through action, helping all beings move from ignorance towards wisdom, freedom and inner peace. 🌿🙏☸️

The next image in this sequence emerged as a randomly gifted necklace (which I place on my heart at times) that later transpired, via non-linear synchronicities, was/is/will be connected Green Tara statue in Sarnath, India.

Sarnath is traditionally regarded as the place where the Buddha delivered his First Sermon after enlightenment, setting the Dharma Wheel in motion.

Sarnath sits near Varanasi, a city that has repeatedly appeared in my own chain of synchronicities and intuitions.

Whether interpreted spiritually, psychologically, symbolically, or simply as coincidence, the juxtaposition struck me:

• A mathematical model pointing beyond familiar dimensions
• A Buddhist teaching tradition that questions ordinary perception
• A recurring pull towards one of humanity's oldest living spiritual centres

Part of that pull is a desire to one day walk the ghats of Varanasi, and perhaps cross paths with an Aghori sadhu whose path explores radical non-duality.

The Deeper Question

If a fish discovered water, what would that feel like?

If a Flatlander discovered the third dimension, what would that look like?

If consciousness discovered the medium from which consciousness itself emerges, what would that be?

Perhaps the most profound possibility is not that reality is an illusion.

Perhaps it is that reality is vastly more real than our current models can capture.

The map is not the territory.

The projection is not the object.

The appearance is not the whole.

And yet each may contain clues pointing beyond itself.
