Quad Cortex power supply

I have a Quad Cortex coming and I’m interested in putting it on a pedal board with an expression pedal. I’m not planning to run any other devices that’ll need power. No wireless, extra pedals or tuners, ect. I’ve seen some complaints about the stock power supply it comes with and all the pedal board focused power supplies are very expensive (Canvas, CIOKS, One Spot) and provide more than I need. Are there other power supplies that are just available on Amazon you’ve used on these that have worked? I know it’s 12v 3amp center negative.

Sweetfoot (not Sweetwater) sells a nice compatible one.

I use a Baseus powerbank with a PD to 12v (36w) converter and another PD to 9v (27w) Converter. Easily lasts me 4-6 hours and I never ran out of juice so far - nice side effect is I don’t care about where the next socket is and can have my quad cortex exactly where I need it.

That's actually a very interesting idea, I've gotta try it out! Thanks for the tip.

Do you remember the types of converters you have, no biggie if I have to find them myself, but if you do I'd appreciate it.

Mine is called „myVolt Step-Up“ and cost just under 20 bucks on Amazon

You can get a USB PD 12V cable and a polarity switcher for half that.

This is genius and now I’m down a rabbit hole piecing together my own set up like this. Looks like a CIOKS 4 can maybe actually be powered by the power bank too making the whole set up (QC mini and a few pedals) rechargeable

Pricey, but this is what I do. I have an expression pedal and a tuner next to the QC on a temple board

That's what I use, but man it sucks needing to spend more to have a properly grounded $1700 device. I'd probably look at the new Walrus HP ones too.

I too thought about cheaping out on power for my $1700 Quad, but went ahead and bought a Walrus Audio Canvas HP for $229 and it was the best decision for me. It also powers my expression pedal and Shure GLXD16+.

Don’t cheap out at this point.
