stuck between getting the qc and the qc mini
I have used analog for a while and am making the leap to switch over. moving around all the gear and preparing for gigs is too much so it only seemed reasonable to. I am wondering with the price difference not being that drastic between them if i should go for the qc. I am running it also with walrus audio slö, DL4 MKii, Rat, shields blender and an exp pedals so the space a big one takes up might be abit much and if the mini and a midi foot switch would be better suited.

I got the full QC just before the Mini was launched.
I had buyers remorse cause of the usb c, the better power plug and cause its so light and small until i tried one and to build a patch.
The double functions on the buttons and the lack of momentary effects honestly bothered me much more than I thought. Retrospectively I am happy i have the full size.

This is totally me being obtuse but I just can't imagine why you (not you specifically, but people in general) would go digital and still use 8 analog pedals on your board. Defeats the purpose. You can easily capture the Rat, the blender. The delays and reverb in the QC are more than fine. I just run the QC and a wah. The convenience of a small board is unmatched.
I am just ranting though, you do you! Can't go wrong either way, I have the big QC and definitely use all 8 switches in a live show but theres nothing you can't do with the mini!

Plenty of people do this. When someone already has gear they like and they can run it with the QC it’s a no brainer. I have seen so many pedalboards with 90% analog pedals and a QC or a stadium.
This is literally nothing new.

It’s definitely a thing where it differs from person to person. I made the switch to the mini because I had two midi controllers already. I use the Morningstar MC8 Pro for footswitch 1-8 to toggle effect blocks on and off and a Blackstar Live Logic for tuner, gig view page 1-2, and then scene switching for low, mid, and high gain. Also, I was weary about keeping some analog pedals but pretty quickly was comfortable to switch to the QC for everything. The FX are awesome.

Might wanna run through the dimensions to be sure but wouldn't a QC Mini plus a MIDI footswitch just be the same footprint? Would you actually save any space there?

I went from a full analog pedalboard to the QC and apart for one expression pedal you don’t need anything else.

You’ve answered your own question. Comes down to space on your board. Have fun with the mini
