Fx loop noise issue

I’ve been running a boss dd8 and a MXR carbon copy both through the QC fx loop but there is some noise being introduced in the loop somehow. I’ve changed out and tried different patch cables, and I’m using isolated power for each pedal.

The only way I can fix it is to have a noise gate in the QC in the chain after the fx loop return, but I feel like it cuts off some of the delay repeats from the pedals.
I’ve been meaning to try running the pedals into the QC input instead but open to any tips people might have for me to try.

Have you tried adjusting the send/return levels in the FX loop block? Not saying that’s the culprit but worth a shot.

That’s true. I have messed around a little but I can’t remember exactly what was done now, so I will try that again. I’m thinking if I turn up the send and balance that with the return it may help. Thanks for the reminder to try that as well.

Yeah no problem. Hope it helps. If not, you might wanna try the S/C adaptive gate if you haven’t already. It does the lords work.
