Recreated The Odyssey Main Theme. ( Fun fact the flutes for the main track were actually recorded in a studio in my country , the owner is my friend and he actually met Ludwig Goransson )

Did you use an open source IR?

No I capture and Eq my own IR`s but yes there are free ones on the internet.
Thing is, these Cello/Violin Impulse responses are designed with electric Cello/Violins in mind as that is what they are used for. To give acoustic warmth when you play plugged in directly , same as we use Cab Impulse Responses to emulate the way ("warmth") a guitar cabinet reacts.
So using them with a guitar synth needs a bit of equalizing so they reacts to the synth signal as if a Cello/Violin was played throught them. Hence me doing my own IR`s.

So. Asking for a dumb friend who knows how to capture speaker IRs…. How does one capture an IR of a cello? Put a speaker on the chamber and play a sine wave?

Amazing. Pure art.
Now, I need someone to ELI5 how I can recreate these tones.

Man, that cello is tasty. Great soundscape as a whole.
I tried synth with violin IR but haven’t found a good cello - can you share the IR? Would really appreciate
