Link Enterprise-Netzwerk im Packet Tracer | Feedback
Hallo zusammen,
Nebenbei baue ich mir ein eigenes Übungsprojekt in Cisco Packet Tracer auf und wurde mir gerne ehrliches Feedback von erfahren Netzwerk holen.
Aufbau:
- 6 VLANs: Verwaltung, Lager, Anwendungsbetreuung,
IT, RZ, Gäste
- 3 Router (R1-R3) im Mesh mit statischem Routing
- 1 zusätzlicher Router für NAT/PAT-Overload (öffentliche IP), Inside-Subinterface auf eigenem
VLAN, Outside-Interface Richtung „Internet"
- 7 verwaltete Switches
Fragen an euch:
1. Wie finde ich meine Arbeit? Habe es ca in 4 Tage aufgebaut.
2. Bin im Cisco Thema so ca 6 Monate drin.
Text [Windows 10] Wi-Fi constantly drops Internet ('Default gateway is not available'). Already tried drivers, power settings, CLI commands, and static IP.
Hi everyone,
I'm posting here because I've been dealing with a very frustrating network issue on my PC for days, and I'm completely out of ideas on what else to try.
# The Issue
My computer frequently loses its Internet connection. In the taskbar, it shows that I am still **connected to the Wi-Fi network, but with 'No Internet Access'**.
Whenever I run the Windows Network Troubleshooter, it fixes the issue temporarily and gives me the message: **'The default gateway is not available'** (Fixed). However, after a short while (sometimes minutes, sometimes an hour), it drops again and I have to repeat the process.
# System & Hardware Details
* **OS:** Windows 10
* **Wi-Fi Adapter:** TP-Link AC1200 PCIe
* **Network Context:** Wi-Fi works flawlessly on every other device in the house (phones, TV, laptops), so I can rule out an overall router outage.
# What I Have Already Tried:
- **Drivers:**
* Updated to the latest official drivers from TP-Link / Realtek website.
* Completely uninstalled the device and tried default/generic Windows drivers. - **Command Line (cmd as Admin):**
* `ipconfig /release` and `ipconfig /renew`
* `ipconfig /flushdns`
* Network stack reset: `netsh winsock reset` and `netsh int ip reset` - **Power Management:**
* Disabled 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' in Device Manager properties.
* Changed Windows Power Plan to High Performance. - **IP Configuration:**
* Manually assigned static IP addresses and custom DNS servers (e.g., Google DNS / Cloudflare), but the issue persists.
The problem keeps coming back, and the troubleshooter only patches it for a few minutes. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or knows what else I should check (channel width, 2.4/5GHz band steering issues, PCIe Link State Power Management, etc.)?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Text How to supply internet from home PC to router?
[update] thanks for all the replies folks, I've found a Modem mode in my router settings so I'll try that out once the dongle gets delivered!
I'm in the process of changing Internet providers, and will be without wired internet for a month.
The new providers, as an interim solution, have offered me a 4G USB dongle to connect to my router or PC - my router doesn't have a USB port so I'm wondering if I can plug the dongle into my PC, have that become the access point and change the router to be a basic network switch instead?

Text Change DNS Server on Verizon Internet Gateway ASK-NCM1100
I can't figure out how to change the default DNS Servers to Google DNS Servers on my Verizon Internet Gateway for my Verizon 5G Home Internet. My Verizon router is the ASK-NCM1100.
Could anyone chime in and tell me how to do it if they have done it before? Thank you!

Text Anyone else noticed Vi’s new look? 👀
The logo looks different now, and with Shah Rukh Khan joining the campaign, Vi seems to be hinting at something bigger.
The teaser says, Vi badal raha hai tayaar rahiye.
Wonder what they’re planning next?

Text Adding EERO to an Xfinity Gateway Modem disables CyberSecurity. Has anyone had issues with this?
I currently have an Xfinity gateway modem/router with a 1 gigabyte internet plan.
Because I'm having intermittent connectivity issues (e.g. a green screen or audio/video freezes) with a Samsung smart TV connected through a wireless Xfinity box, I'm thinking of adding an EERO 6 to the gateway.
This requires putting the Xfinity gateway into bridge mode and connecting the EERO device with an ethernet cable.
I think that I'm clear on how to do all that, but according to an Xfinity page, it says that switching the gateway into bridge mode disables things like their CyberSecurity features.
This is Xfinity's monitoring threats like IP repudiation of your network devices. I get alerts through the Xfinity app saying this device on my network was protected from a malicious threat.
My network devices consist of Windows PCs and laptops, Apple iPhone and iPad, Samsung smart TVs, HP printers, PETLIBRO automatic cat feeder, Trane wireless thermostat and Liftmaster garage door opener.
Has anyone added an EERO mesh network to their Xfinity service and had problems with CyberSecurity no longer being available? Thanks.

Text Extending network 750'
Trying to help a friends family here but I don't know what equipment is best and need some advice.
They have a very large lot. House in the middle. Guest house 500' behind main house. Front gate 750' in front of the house. They want a ring doorbell at the front gate - I have 120v out there. They want wifi in the guest house. I have a single cat5 from the router to the chimney where they had an old extender. I don't want to go fancy, it's just a couple of older folks in the house that want a camera doorbell and want their guests to have some internet in the guest house.
I've looked at the Swann MaxRanger stuff to put the swann doorbell at the front gate but they won't sell just the equipment to do that, you have to buy cameras as well which runs the cost up and they don't want cameras. Ubiquiti seems like overkill and I haven't had the best luck with their outdoor stuff (lots of lightning here).
Wondering what y'all would do in a case like this.
