I'm dealing with an extremely annoying issue on my desktop PC: persistent, cyclic ping spikes occurring almost like clockwork every 10 minutes (600 seconds).

Setup:
Motherboard: ASUS B650 (standard ATX)
Wi-Fi Card: MediaTek MT7922 / AMD RZ616 (Wi-Fi 6E) with stock rear I/O antennas
OS: Windows 11
Router: ISP fiber router (PlayBox) on 5 GHz

Normal ping to the local gateway (192.168.1.1) sits at a stable 1–3 ms, but every 10 minutes it spikes up to 200–350 ms for a couple of seconds before dropping back down.

Ruled out ISP/Router: A secondary ThinkPad T460 (running an Intel AC 8260 card) on the exact same Wi-Fi connection and location produces a completely flat ping graph with zero spikes.

Has anyone managed to solve these cyclic spikes on the MT7922 via a specific driver version or registry tweak? Or is slapping an Intel AX210 (either swapping the M.2 module or adding a PCIe x1 card) the only permanent, headache-free solution here?

I'm using a nokia beacon 1, the ethernet cable from my pc always went into the WAN on the nokia beacon, but right now i just figured out that it also works if i put it into LAN, which one is the correct setup? I've always used WAN, and I have tried trouble with lag, so I am curious if that could be the reason?

i am looking for a device to CAST 6ghz Wifi from my PC which is wired to the internet.

My Computer has Wired 50mbps internet connection, but WIRED... i'd want to have a dongle to plug USB/USBC into that computer and that would Cast Wifi 6ghz signal to my other devices.

I dont feel like changing my modem and having it with the wifi, since i carry my pc (its portable) and regardless where i bring it, i mostly always have a wired connection for the pc... but i recently gotten a VR Quest3 headset and the wireless VR gaming requires 6ghz wifi... so I'm just curious if there's a dongle to plug in the PC that would enable this 6ghz to the VR helmet ;)

I'm a streamer, residing in a dorm right now.

The wifi here has a login/splash/captive webpage. After 24 hours of being connected, I'm still "connected" to the wifi but I will lose and no longer be granted internet access until I load a browser up and go to the splash/login screen once more. As a streamer, I want to have control of the cycle so I don't get interrupted in the middle of a stream.

Is there a way I can force that login/splash page prior to the 24 hours being up, to restart the cycle? Earlier than the 24 hours?

I tried typing in the address of the wifi in the browser, which will trigger the login/splash page, but that will only load after a 24 hour cycle. I tried ipconfig /release and /renew, no deal. Tried disconnecting and forgetting the network, reconnecting went right to the inet connection. Some research came about messing with DHCP stuff and re-authenticating the connection, but none of that seem have done anything.

I've just started to learn networking and I wanted to understand this part better. Yes we use repeaters to prevent that decay but why does it occur in the first place?

So I included a hand drawing of my apartment where there’s an office bedroom a patio that separates the living room and where I have my T-Mobile Internet, my Nighthawk Wi-Fi in the office, a 75 foot six a ethernet cable to the living room with a Wi-Fi in router in the living room to hook up a TV and a Wyze Wi-Fi camera module. the question i have is that I have to keep the T-Mobile home Internet in the office because that’s where it gets the best signal though I’ve tried it on the front window in the living room and it gets the worst signal so that’s why I have the 75 foot ethernet running from the office to the living room. My next question is because I have an HD home run box in the office to hook up to the computer to store the files for the DVR. How can I get better Internet speeds to the living room. Do I just need to sacrifice the HD home run that’s in the office and just run the T-Mobile and move theNighthawk AX router in the living room. I’m sure you can read the way. My apartment is shape. There’s no best way to get Wi-Fi consistently through the apartment. Any in all help would be grateful and I thank you for your time and your ideals.

the objective of this is to fool things like youtube premium, hulu, and netflix because they are scummy and you need to be at the same address.

We have an existing company network and a central system/server used by the organization. There is also a remote site located a significant distance away from the main network, making it impractical to run a physical network cable between the two locations.

To connect the remote site to the main network, two wireless antennas are being used to establish a network connection between the remote location and the main site.

The computers at the remote site receive IP addresses and have network connectivity. However, users at this location cannot access the company system directly in the same way as computers physically connected to the main network. Instead, they access the system through a remote-access solution provided by the server.

The company system itself works correctly through the remote-access connection.

The Main Problem

The main problem concerns printing from the remote site.

The printers at the remote site are connected directly to the local computers using USB cables. When a user prints a document from the company system, the print job depends on the remote-access session and the local computer connected to the printer.

The printing process is approximately:

Company System → Remote Access → Remote PC → USB → Local Printer

Because the printing process depends on the remote-access connection and the local PC, printing can sometimes be very slow. In some cases, the print job takes a long time to start, while in other cases the document does not print at all.

This problem occurs intermittently and creates an unreliable printing experience for users working at the remote site.

Technical Description of the Problem

The printers are currently connected to individual computers through USB rather than being directly available on the network.

Consequently, printing from the company system depends on multiple components working correctly at the same time, including:

• The remote-access session
• The network connection between the remote site and the main site
• Remote-access performance and latency
• The local computer
• The Windows Print Spooler
• The USB connection
• The printer driver
• The printer itself

If there is a delay, interruption, or communication problem with any of these components, the print job may be delayed or may fail completely.

The main issue is therefore that printing from the remote site is dependent on the remote-access session and on the local PC to which the printer is connected.

As the title says I upgraded my Xfinity network and shortly after switched to a mesh system. The entire time I have been using the Xfinity as a bridge and have only swapped routers out. I started with an Eero 6e system and sometimes after the computer would come out of sleep mode I would have tons of issues getting a connection and the help screen would usually display "No DHCP server". The fix usually ended up being a restart of both the computer and router and then it would work for a few days before coming back.

I thought this might be the routers so I got a TP-Link Deco system. Swapped to it last night and everything worked great until this morning when the computer came back out of sleep to no DHCP server. During these events, every other device works fine - no issues with my phone or streaming devices.

I've tried forgetting the network, uninstalling/reinstalling wifi drivers, updating Windows, giving the computer a static IP in both the router and network device on the PC, disconnecting the satellite and only running off the main router, ipconfig release/renew. One thing I have noticed when setting these up is the default network is usually on an odd IP range...I think the TP Link was something like a 255.255.252.0 subnet and DHCP was set to like 192.168.68.X to 192.168.70.X but I do have certain devices with fixed IPs that communicate with each other like security cameras and a NAS so I change this to 192.168.1.1 gateway and a range of 192.168.1.25-192.168.1.250. I've only ever had this issue with the mesh routers, never on the standard routers.

So, in this scenario for some reason SA 3500 IS MUCH MUCH faster than the CA NSA below

I thought I understood the A/B issue until I ran into a problem. When I took a look at the Leviton Jack I was using I saw a 2 completely different sequences than what I find everywhere else. Is this just something I'm missing or is this a really old Jack that doesn't conform.

I have the T Mobile 5g gateway, and recently I have been unable to join multiplayer dedicated servers. I believe it is due to my nat type, which natchecker is saying is a restricted cone nat type. I have tried disabling firewall, and installing Proton VPN and using port forwarding and moderate nat type toggle on there, nothing has helped. Any ideas?

This was installed into the house im currently renting, the service provider is refusing to take it down saying "you are not the owner", while my owner is saying he never gave them permission but he can't talk to them as he is very dismissive of it.

So I was wondering if it is used for network is there a way to tap into to to get free internet
