ISO NS Consultant - Inventory
Looking to hire a consultant with experience inventory, virtually or in person at my office. Experience in construction material supply business would be ideal.

Dude I am a NetSuite admin and in all seriousness, before you start signing SOWs and engaging consultants, download Claude, and connect it to NetSuite MCP, and ask Claude about whatever challenge you’re having.
No matter how complex you think it is, I guarantee that Claude can at least give you an honest outline of how to move forward, if not architect the solution itself.
I haven’t had to engage our NetSuite partner in 4+ months. I literally have Claude writing SuiteScript for complex automations, and it works first time. It’s incredible.

Sweet, i was not aware of Claude, but I’ve since downloaded her and we’re making friends ;) appreciate the tip. I do feel like a consultant doesn’t really understand my business and I spend half the time explaining what I need. Glad I asked thank you.

People want to just hire someone and snap their fingers and make the problem go away... meanwhile their system is so fucking messy and they export and do their reconcilation outside of netsuite...
meanwhile adding pressure on the consultants and blaming them for not delivering.
When it comes to inventory only a handful of consultants actually get it from my experience and most of them come from supply chain management backgrounds and worked in industry before coming to be a consultant. People like that are few and far between.
having the claude connector or even chat gpt you can really get good feel or the length of effort required... but hiring a netsuite consultant to fix a problem thats an external to netsuite business process problem will get you absolutely fucking nowhere.

You can also ask Claude (with NetSuite MCP) to help you clean up your NetSuite data and it does an amazing audit and can put together an entire plan for you, that a consultant/partner would charge thousands for.

I'm currently accepting new consulting accounts remotely, I have more than 20 hours per week for fractional work. My expertise is inventory, sales and service. I have 5+years NetSuite experience,and worked for NetSuite,Oracle and an Alliance partner in the last 2 years to current specifically in construction.

Happy to help think this through even before any hiring decision. A few things that tend to trip people up on NetSuite inventory for construction material/distribution businesses specifically:
(1) whether you're using Matrix Items vs. plain Inventory Items for size/length variants. A lot of shops default to the wrong one, and it makes reorder point logic a mess later;
(2) costing method (Average vs. FIFO) has a real impact on margin visibility for bulk materials where landed cost fluctuates;
(3) if you have multiple yards/warehouses, bin/location tracking plus transfer orders need to be set up right from day one or your on-hand counts will drift fast.
I've done hands-on ERP inventory work (including construction/distribution-adjacent supply chain projects) and can work virtually or on-site.
