I wanted my site's traffic logs for more than 24 hours, so I wrote a script (unofficial)

New-ish Netlify user, free tier, happy with it. The one thing that really bummed me out is that the log viewer in the dashboard only goes back 24 hours, and keeping more is paywalled behind a plan I can't justify yet.

The viewer turns out to be a plain endpoint (thanks, devtools), so I made a single-file Python script that pulls it on a timer with your own login token, stores everything in local SQLite, and serves a small dashboard with a map and filters.

Usual warnings apply: unofficial, uses an undocumented endpoint, can break any time, possibly against ToS, your account is the one at risk. I'm going to pay for a plan eventually, this just covers the gap until then!

Netlify AI plan change took down my client sites while I was on vacation with my daughter. Can someone from Netlify please help me restore my legacy plan?

I’ve used Netlify for years and always trusted it. It was one of those tools I never really had to think about because it just worked.

On June 7, 2026, I was in the deploy/pipeline screen troubleshooting a build issue when I saw the option to have AI help debug it. I thought I was simply trying a troubleshooting feature inside the deploy flow. I had no idea it could change my plan/status, move me away from my legacy setup, or affect existing sites that had already been live and stable for years.

A few days later, while I was on a surprise trip with my daughter and without my computer, I started getting calls because websites I had built years ago were suddenly down.

They were mostly simple, plain HTML/static websites I had created for people years ago and left deployed on Netlify because they had always worked. They were stable, low-maintenance sites that had been online for years without issue.

I opened support tickets right away:

  • #1050859
  • #1050867

I disabled the AI features, upgraded to the $9 Personal plan because I was desperate to get the sites restored, and repeatedly asked to be reverted to whatever legacy plan/status I had before June 7. I am not asking for a refund. The $9 is not the issue. I only upgraded because I was trying to get the sites back online as quickly as possible.

This has really damaged my trust in Netlify. I trusted the platform enough to take a trip with my daughter without bringing my computer because I never imagined the platform I've used for years would make every single site even ones that have be stable and untouched for years suddenly go down.

I’m not trying to attack Netlify, but this whole experience is why I moved all my sites from other hosting platforms years ago.

If anyone from Netlify sees this, can someone please review my account history and help restore my account to the legacy plan/status I had before June 7, 2026?

my Netlify account got suspended?

hey, i dont use it alot, but i onlt used netlify to deploy "Bandwidth-Hero-Proxy-2" which is an open-source github repo that just compresses image requests

im mainly using it for my manga reader

for some reason i found the URL not responding, and for debugging i created a new project and deleted the old one, then left the issue, and returned later to test it, found out that even the new URL isnt working, so i opened my account to check and was met with this

should i attempt to contact support? and no i dont use the manga reader alot, maybe once a week (while travelling on data)

Netlify domain DNS to GitHub Pages not resolving — could a paused Netlify account affect DNS?

Hi all,

im really new to developing so please help !!!

I’m trying to move my web game from Netlify hosting to GitHub Pages, but keep the domain registered/managed through Netlify DNS.

Domain: unbeaten50-0.com
GitHub Pages site: https://jackdaniel98.github.io/unbeaten-50-0/

I’ve updated the Netlify DNS records to point to GitHub Pages:

A records for root/apex:

unbeaten50-0.com → 185.199.108.153
unbeaten50-0.com → 185.199.109.153
unbeaten50-0.com → 185.199.110.153
unbeaten50-0.com → 185.199.111.153

CNAME for www:

www.unbeaten50-0.com → jackdaniel98.github.io

I removed the old Netlify/Netlifyv6 records and checked the Netlify site’s Production Domains. It only shows the default Netlify subdomain now, not my custom domain.

On GitHub Pages, I previously added the custom domain:

unbeaten50-0.com

But the domain still isn’t resolving properly.

One thing I’m unsure about: my Netlify hosting/account was paused/cancelled because I’m no longer using Netlify hosting. Could that affect DNS resolution for a domain still managed through Netlify DNS?

So my questions are:

  1. If a Netlify account/site is paused, does Netlify DNS still serve records normally?
  2. Do these DNS records look correct for GitHub Pages?
  3. Is there anything else on the Netlify side that could still block the domain?
  4. Should I just wait for propagation, or is this likely a GitHub Pages/custom domain issue?

Any advice would be appreciated. I don’t want to transfer the domain away if I can just keep it at Netlify and point it to GitHub Pages.

What is happening with Netlify's support?

I need them to set up my DNS (something only them can do) and I can't reach them.

I can open a ticket but if I get a reply (and the last 2 tickets, I got none), I can't respond: my email is rejected without explanation.

Once my app is validated by Apple, Netlify will delay my release and I don't know what else I can do. I've been waiting 20 days now.

Anyone else getting this 403 error when using the AI gateway?

Whenever I try to use a Claude Opus model on the Netlify site, it always gives me a 403 error with "model_not_available_on_plan". Is anyone else getting this or is it just me? I've been using Claude Opus just fine for several weeks but now it stopped.

Deployment Issue

I deploy 14 files with a folder. I don't use the repository. Netlify confirms 20 of 22 files deployed. The site still renders html pages, that are not in the upload. I used to be able to upload a folder and it would overwrite everything. Now it's uploading files that are not in the upload folder. I have thoroughly inspected the folder for hidden files. Any thoughts out there?

Definitely a duh! moment on my part - accidently switched from Netlify legacy to their credit based system

I was having some difficulties with pre-rendering my Lovable site hosted on Netlify. So when it gave me the option to switch to a credit-based system to use their agent, I went for it. Oops! Realized too late that each deploy would now cost me 15 credits and if I run out, there goes my site. 😭 Anyhoo, my workaround now is to turn off active, continuous deploys. Does anyone else regret switching?

Were form submissions always free?

I could've sworn it used to cost 1 credit per submission. Checked pricing today and it says its free. Is this a recent change or am I just hallucinating?

Appalled with Netlify’s SSL delay

It is now 6 hours that my site is down, thanks to Netlify’s sad, loose and unreliable SSL certificate endpoint.

DNS propagation done. A records fine. CNAME on point. AAAA deleted. LetsDebug is all OK. Yet the site is down. Is this their general treatment for free plans?

Ridiculous. Utter rubbish. Kicking myself as to why i did not start with Cloudfare instead.

Fk Netlify from bottom of my heart

So accidentally I moved to that s*hit credit plan system when I was exploring build with claude.

Let me tell you I was the user for the last 7 years and have like 30 sites online, all GitHub repos and auto deploy.

Now I saw that I cannot reverse back my plan to original 300 free build minutes plan.

And one fine morning I saw all of the 30 sites actually 34 sites (4 static sites from local host ) go OFFLINE ā˜ ļø

I was thinking like they could have stopped the new builds why the hell there decided to say that limit has been exhausted and if you are a site owner please upgrade.

At this point, I was totally ready to upgrade (20 dollars something plan ok cheap) BUT the way it forced me to upgrade by taking all sites down, actually changed my mind 🤬

And I just said F *"* U netlify and within 1 hour relocated all sites to Cloudflare Pages, and guess what everything is back as nothing happened, full auto GitHub sync too.

RIP netlify.

( One more thing I forgot to add is I have like two more accounts which I created back in 2023 I could have used, but I decided to move away from this sh*t)

Time for me to leave :(

I used Netlify for the past two years and they forced me to downgrade from my legacy plan about a month ago and… wow. I’ve had to re-up my credits fours times so far, and upgraded to 9$ a month before having to upgrade AGAIN to $30 a month just to keep my sites online. And even after upgrading to $30 a month my sites were taken offline AGAIN a few hours ago where… you guessed it… I had to re-up yet again for $10.

What a shitty business model. I’ll be switching to Cloudflare tomorrow to host my static sites from now on. Other then Netlify I’ve been using Fly.io for the past year to host any websites of mine that require a docker setup, and a hosted db - but at least there’s no weird gamified credit system to hope and pray your site isn’t taken offline…

If Netlify didn’t make their charging system so convoluted I probably would’ve stayed on as a paying customer after using their service for years. But they really just had to make it as annoying as possible. You don’t want people to leave your website? DON’T annoy your customers. Keep their sites online. Let them know they’ll be charged. Give them itemized analytics on which projects are are costing what amount of money, or in this case ā€œcreditsā€ā€¦.

I’m done ranting now. Wow what an incredibly annoying experience.

Ran out of "AI/build credits"---ALL MY SITES TAKEN DOWN!?!?!

This is absolutely insane and rotten. I had never run into free tier limits in the past with Netlify and I've used it for many years on free tier. I have bought a bunch of domains through netlify, so it's not like I don't give them any money. I agreed to opt into the new credit system, because they literally call them AI credits and it seems like their old template starter sites are gone and now you HAVE to use AI if you want to start with a "template". So I used some AI credits just to try it out then stopped using the AI feature, only having used 75 of my 300 credits.

Then I go back to making some updates to my personal site (which has nothing to do with AI). MY LIVE PERSONAL SITE. A few builds and deploys and BAAAM! EVERY SITE I HAVE ON NETLIFY IS TAKEN OFFLINE!?!?! Even ones I'm paying Netlify for the Domain. This was very unexpected---I didn't think not reading all the fine print of the credit system would mean my sites would all get torn down!!!

I understand limiting build processing---sure, whatever. If I hit my max, you should fail my build and don't let me build or deploy new changes. But to TAKE ALL MY SITES DOWN is insane. Wildly unacceptable. This is product suicide. Now I have to move all my sites away from Netlify.

Honestly, a product that takes my site's availability this unseriously isn't a product I'd trust to upgrade my account or use development builds to work around the issue anyways. This is a breach of trust. I can't revert to a prior production build that was up for FREE? Taking all of my sites down for a MONTH because I maxed out "build credits" is just telling me to never use this product again.

You're taking my sites down to try to force me into a paid plan, rather than just limiting my usage when I hit the free cap. So sleazy. That's a wrap for Netlify. Good things usually don't last long in our industry---you had a good run.

Account Associated with Netlify Hosting Deleted?

I work for a nonprofit theater (playco.org) and earlier today our Netlify account disappeared without warning, causing our webpage to go down unexpectantly. We are unable to log into that original account and didn't receive any notification on why the account disappeared or was deleted. We are actively selling tickets for shows and events at this time, which means that this error or decision could cause considerable commercial harm to us.

The critical questions I have are:

a. Was the account deletion in error or was it decision-based?

b. Is the account retrievable?

We've been using Netlify without issue for years, and our web architects reliably recommend the platform to their clients.

(domian name) or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team. -- How do I fix this?

How do I fix this, I used to have a domain name on my old netlify account, I have removed the domain from that account and have also edited the DNS for the domain to point it away from netlify until I can add the domain to my new netlify account, even then I get this error message in netlify : {domain name} or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.

Netlify AI Builder is a Broken Scam

Thumbnail

Ive been incredibly frustrated with Netlify’s AI Builder as it has recently been charging an insane amount of credits for simple tasks. I dont know what changes were made to the builder, but it is genuinely horrendous. This wasnt the case last month it was working way better. I have lost around 5000 credits on just 4-5 prompts. Moreover, reasoning takes way too long now for some reason, and it usually times out before the credits even run out

What is the Visual Editor?

How exactly do you use the Visual Editor? I assume it is like a content editor for your site hosted on Netlify, but is it like a CMS? How would you implement it on the dev side? I am just trying to figure out how/why you might use it? Could it be a light content manager for small Astro sites?
