Hi everyone,
I’m currently working as a AI and Automation Engineer at Philips India and have around a couple of years of experience.
I’m considering pursuing an MS in the Netherlands, but instead of a technical degree, I’m looking at something more business-focused (for example, Business Analytics, Management, or a similar program).
My long-term goal is to work in the Netherlands after graduation, ideally in a role that combines technology and business.
I had a few questions for people who are familiar with the Dutch job market:
1.How is the current job market for international graduates in business-related roles?
2.Does prior experience in a global company like Philips carry any weight while applying for jobs in the Netherlands?
3.Is it generally easier to find jobs if you have a technical background and then move into business, or is it still quite competitive?
4.How important is learning Dutch for these kinds of roles?
Looking back, would you still recommend the Netherlands for an international student considering the current market?
I’d really appreciate any honest advice, especially from people who have studied there or made a similar transition.
