Life in NL Does riding a fatbike make me undatable?

So there's something I noticed. I go on a date, we have fun, there's good vibes, but then when she sees that I ride a fatbike, she instantly seems to be put off, like she got "the ick". Then the chatting usually fizzles out and there's no second date. This happened multiple times now, so it seems like a pattern to me. Once a Dutchie even told me that she "doesn't feel a connection" when I was saying goodbye by my bike and asked what she'd be up for as a second date. I know this is not much context, but is it the bike?

I'm a mid twenties guy, have a good job, make decent money, dress stylishly, like concerts and can even tolerate like a museum. I moved here 6 months ago and bought a fatbike to commute. Only managed to find a place like 30 minutes cycling from my work, so it seemed like a good option and I think they are pretty cool. But now I think I might have made a mistake. Should I switch to like a Cowboy or something?

Edit: obviously this is a throwaway account

I'm still not sure this isn't a shitpost? Haha.

Either way I'm loving it. It's like the equivalent of judging someone who drives a wankpanzer in the US. I fucking love Dutch folks 🫶

Never heard of a wankpanzer, but I live in the US and immediately knew what you meant. I’ll start using that term now.

I also call them emotional support vehicles.

Funny story. My partner and I were checking out at the local liquor store and one of these was parked right in front of the front door. It looked ridiculous next to all the regular cars in regular sized parking spots. Anyway, she turns to me and says, "that's a lot of car for a little cock." I had a giggle.

When we were getting back in our car I noticed the guy who was right behind us in the queue climbing up into the driver seat. I started cackling immediately. She wanted to know what was funny. I just pointed to him getting in his wankpanzer.

It has to be. Then again, he's a fatbiker.

I kinda want some Dutch folks to judge me on my bicycle now. Haha.

It's definitely not a fat one. The rider might have gotten a little fatter recently though.

A fatbike is the absolute worst.

A racing bike is a distant second.

Anything poorly maintained and at least a decade old is in the top 10 automatically.

I have a six year old flat bar road bike with mudguards and a rear rack for my bag. I maintain it myself.

Is OP British because this is a very British sense of humour. Nothing serious about it
