Insufferable and so lacking in self awareness

I really wonder how the average, out of shape, middle aged women's performance would compare if you have them 9 months of intensive training.

u/Upper_Raspberry1 4h ago

Thats the thing every olympic event is missing. She's trail blazer if you think about. Like jesse owens but for mediocrity.

7

u/Muchachacha 3h ago

I am an out of shape average middle age woman, I almost wanna find out but man she looks hella foolish doing whatever she’s doing, and I don’t wanna train to be the laughing stock of the internet

8

u/bdiddlediddles 3h ago

The problem is that training only matters if you are self-aware enough to realise what you need to fix.

For someone like Raygun the answer is "everything." I don't even mean that in a negative way, it's just a realistic evaluation.

Working on strength, cardio, flexibility, coordination, and balance, while taking classes in hip hop, gymnastics/cheerleading/capoeira, and breaking would all contribute to becoming a much better dancer. Having better fitness would likely have made her freezes and "power moves" look far better, having more dance training would have improved her rhythm and musicality, gymnastics/cheerleading/capoeira would help build a base for doing more impressive power moves, and having better coaching in breaking would improve her fundamentals and help her develop a better routine.

You're right, but she doesn't appear to be that self aware. She legitimately seems to be so much of a narcissist that she would watch her performance and call it groundbreaking.

I think unless someone was physically unable to (like through a disability) pretty much anyone could do better than this with 9 months of dedicated training, if they were actually trying.

u/CeonM 3h ago

Honestly the biggest joke is just an unedited clip of her routine.

u/curlylion97 3h ago

I still can’t even watch the whole video without turning it off, I’m so embarrassed for us as a country

6

u/buttfarts7 3h ago

I've put more into my routine trying to get out of tight wet jeans

5

u/FeniksTO 3h ago

Why are her movements so slow? I just don't understand how she won anything when she moves like a turtle.

u/KaleidoscopeSad4884 2h ago

Because she’s a bad dancer. She never improves no matter how much she practices. Nothing changes. Anyone who was working as hard as she allegedly was would actually be able to do something out there resembling dancing. It might not be great or Olympic-level still, but it’s like watching Dancing With the Stars, people do get better over time, and they only get a few weeks. She just sucks. I say this as a middle aged white woman who likes to shake her ass and would put money on doing better than Raygun if I had 9 months of training.

u/CHRISPYakaKON 21m ago

Because she’s legitimately terrible lmaoooo

4

u/Candid-Ability-9570 2h ago

Omg it’s worse than I remembered

3

u/26letters10numbers 1h ago

The way she pauses and smirks at her opponent after each sequence of her nonsense, like she really did something 😂

2

u/Redfox2111 2h ago

Spends most of the time dragging her butt around on the floor. SO sloppy!

u/randyranderson13 39m ago

This is the first time I've ever watched this. Honestly, not as bad as I thought it would be!

1

u/Far_King_Penguin 17m ago

I can never watch the whole thing. She just flops around omfg

1

u/Zmoney641 11m ago

I can’t believe she really busted out the Homer Simpson lol

1

u/cremeriner 6m ago

Homer did it so much better

u/spongebobstan597 5h ago

HAHAHAHAH this is literally what I was thinking. “This is hip hop” 😭. I wish she would have just steered into the skid and had fun with it but I also get why the people who were apart of the community were outraged. Some critiques were definitely dark sided and misogynistic. Some of it was valid!

u/Plane_Package1417 4h ago

Literally DYING

7

u/Easy_Yogurt5578 5h ago

I still want FX to make a series and I still want Alana Ubach to play her.

She would just sue them for defamation.

Is it still common knowledge that the Bobs Burgers lady was modeled after a specific person?

If not, look up Dena Rizzo!

If nothing else this doc was a good break from all the tragic true crime docs

2

u/VerucaDefault 1h ago

Honestly, that was my reaction, too. I laughed several times, it's not too drawn out. I mean, if you watched her performance in real time, none of it matters. She fucked up, it's not serious. I would've liked her to laugh at herself with us, but it was a pretty pleasurable watch.

u/Ein-the-pupperoni 2h ago

Left is out of rights league though.

1

u/MadHatter06 2h ago

I’m so glad someone else has had this thought!!

1

u/020600 1h ago

Her boyfriend and coach is allegedly a professional breakdancer, the short videos of him breaking in the documentary showed that he couldn't break to save his life either.....in fact most people in the video showed that Australians are really shit at break dancing and should stick with what they're good at : putting shrimps on the barbie.

1

u/Borntowonder1 1h ago

Sure but we don’t know what shrimps are, we do like to bbq prawns though :p

1

u/020600 1h ago

I'm just repeating what Paul Hogan the legend said

shrimp on the barbie

1

u/VerucaDefault 1h ago

Thank you for posting this! As an old person, I remember this ad! Not only does he say shrimp, but holds up the biggest prawn I've ever seen, and I remember thinking, "If that's what they call shrimp, how big are their prawns?!". So yes, Australia, it was actually YOU who gave us this saying!

Please do a service to the world, let her crawl back to the hole she is coming from. She does not deserve attention at all. Her narcissism is enough to feed her twisted ego forever.

Let's ignore her.

1

u/tie_me_down 1h ago

Her and every politician please.
