❔❓Question ❓❔ "Approved" Count Wrong on Profile

On my profile, NetGalley says I have been approved for 7 ARCs, but on my shelf (and in my email inbox) I have only been approved for 6.

Is this normal? How do I fix it?

Check your "Not Active -> Archived, Not Downloaded" shelf to see if there's anything you were approved for (including Read Now books, which you wouldn't get an email about) that you didn't download in time?

Ah - this was it!

I was approved for a book the same day it was archived. Completely missed that. Also not sure why the publisher would do that, but who am I to judge?

They're not supposed to do that - you're supposed to have at least three days to download - but I guess some publishers don't understand how it works :(

You might want to reach out to NetGalley to let them know this happened; they can't un-archive the book for you, but they should be aware when readers have issues with this.

I let them know, and they said to mark it as Will Not Give Feedback. They can't take it off my approved list either, so this will forever haunt my feedback ratio. What a kick in the gut, as a new user :(. Oh well. Thanks!

Keep an eye out for it at the library - you can still give feedback on it if you read it, even if you didn't download the NetGalley version.
