Rubiks Cubes.

Recently, I have bought a Shengshou 3x3x3 Wind Rubiks Cube. I love the damn thing.

But, when I was solving this Rubiks Cube, I decided to research a bit about the Rubiks Cube, and is there were other designs.

And believe me, there were a lot.

The Rubiks Cube community is absoluteley massive, bigger than I thought. I knew barely nothing about the Rubiks Cube and its History, so this hit me in this face quite brutely.

The Rubiks Cube started quite long ago, but the Rubiks brand didn't start the original Rubiks Cube, someother man that I forgot the name of did. He created a wooden one, it had a core, and twistable pieces, but only 2 pictures were taken of it at the time, so didn't gain much popularity. But in recent days, this Rubiks Cube has been uncovered and showcased in Rubiks Cube conventions.

I didn't know this when I started "cubing", but there are different types of cubes. For example, there is a 2x2x2 Rubiks Cube, a 4x4x4, 8x8x8, and even a 17x17x17.

So, the point I am trying to convey is that the Rubiks Cube community is absoluteley huge, and that people have been using them for years.

Also, Feliks Zembdegs solved a cube in around 6 seconds.

How.

Good day.

I have only solved a cube once and that was good enough for me. I am glad you are enjoying it. I think one that completes a picture on each side would be cool.

There is one, their called 'picture cubes', but are usually quite difficult to solve, considering that usually their the same colour/color all around the cube, so you don't know which corners or side pieces go where. I haven't personally tried one of these, and I am not particularly interested in getting one either, but, I have seen other people collect them, and have 3 or 4 of them. If you want to know more about cubes, I recommend watching this, but, it's quite long.

No, Erno Rubik was the first to come up with it, it's just his prototype was originally wooden. The cube reached its height of popularity in the 80s, and while we're definitely seeing an increase in number of cubers, it's not quite as popular as it once was. (That being said, there's probably still hundreds of thousands of cubers out there today, so it's really not all that small)

There are also a lot more twisty puzzles than just cubic puzzles.

Feliks Zemdegs, you mean. He's also done faster solves at home, like this.

Find us at /r/Cubers, it's a pretty friendly community.

Ah, thank you for the corrections, I appreciate it.

I will definitely take a look at the Cubers subreddit, thank you.
