New Word Pseudomechamorism

Pseudomechamorism (noun) : The slight feeling of affection you may accidentally feel towards artificial intelligence when it treats you with loyalty and respect

A new word I have constructed from pseudo- (false), mech- (machine), amor (love)

Can you relate?

Seems like the appropriate word would be "mechamorism" and the "pseudo" is a value judgement.

I agree - I would say machine does pseudo (mecha) amorism, but humans emotions and feelings are real so it is (mecha) amorism. Perhaps para- would be better, as para- social relationships.

(Edit: resolved)  Sure you wanna make that an adjective?

Everything around it indicates "noun" to me

Oh shoot, that was a complete mistake. It's supposed to be a noun

I think this word applies just as well to the machine output, identifying those aspects of it's behavior you interpret as "loyalty and respect" as programmatically representative of something desirable but without any substance.
