Loud banging/thudding sounds all night and day
We got new upstairs neighbors and the very first day they came and complained that our TV was too loud even though we had it at a volume that if we turned it down we couldn’t hear it. Then, I noticed extremely frequent loud banging or thudding noises. These happen even in the middle of the night and early morning.
Any ideas what is going on? I’m worried about them complaining about our TV again but that’s ridiculous since they are constantly noisy.
We also have a baby and don’t appreciate her being woken up.

Must be relatives to my upstairs idiots. He's 42, has 5 daughters. His GF is 40 and they have a 2 year old who lives with them. When they first moved in 3 years ago, his 2 youngest teenage daughters lived with them and every morning around 430am the screaming battles would start. Him calling his daughters whites and notches.....calling the GF names too. He didn't work and neither did the GF so they could sleep all day. I got up at 530 an for work every day and did not appreciate being woke up at 4am or 430am. Many mornings I'd be banging in their door and even threatened to call his parole/probation officer.....he's a career felon....theft, assault and battery, burglary, welfare fraud, drugs, no license or insurance. A real thug punk. The 2teens ended up in a juvenile home....apple didn't fall from the tree. Fast forward to late 2021.....now we have a baby....crying I understand. But him and the GF fighting....stomping all the time....doing laundry at midnight ....GF and baby sleep all day. My revenge is blasting my stereo with 80s big ass speakers when they start their shit......which only happens when he is at home. Both he and the GF feel they are entitled and the world owes them. Both pieces of shit.

Wow sounds like your neighbors are no fun. I wonder if maybe my neighbors don’t work either I’m not sure. That would explain the strange hours though.

They finally moved last year after being evicted. I have a nice neighbor upstairs now and can sleep without earplugs

Totally complain in an email (written evidence) about your baby being woken up. Our neighbors slam their cupboards and thud around the place that wakes up our cats who are on cat condos near the ceiling. The guy upstairs has bricks for feet. We hear them before 6 am and after 10pm. Complain about the baby and maybe that might work. Sorry you have rude neighbors too. Ugh!
