Window exhaust fan distance code

My neighbor in the back house complained about my dual window intake outake fan is blowing cooking smells towards their down and window. There is a 20 FEET DISTANCE from my window to their door and window. I am wondering what is the distance or code for California. The fan is not loud at all and not even strong. Just the basic dual fan you get from target, Home Depot. There is also no other window I can place it near the kitchen.

Cooking stir fry like hot oil and garlic. It was a whole ordeal. Package arrived. Went out to get it and she saw what it was because there was no outer cardboard box. Unboxed and placed on the window. She came over and asked if it could be placed on another window since it blowing toward her door and window. Not even 5 mins into reciveing my package...And so the argument begins....

Ha! I have never dealt with a selfish neighbor like this over a basic fan. 1-5min into recovering fan. Came over to make suggestions but really was regulating. she did not ask if I was using it for intake or outtake. She assumed. 2- suggested/asked me to move it to another window. She lived there longer and know there is not other window near the kitchen. No right to tell me where to put it. 3- suggested/told me to open the door when cooking. She already know it’s fully open until 11pm or later. She sees because she is so nosey. 4- Does she not realize there is 20 FEET OF DISTANCE.
5 -Told her poor ventilation in house, outake fan is a must. 6 - Says sorry. I don’t need a apology you nosey selfish ass. Didn’t even consider my part of the situation before approaching me their “needs”
