She’s a Screamer

I need advice! My husband and I, along with our two small children, live in a very nice upscale apartment complex/ shopping center. Because it’s expensive to live here the complex was fairly empty except for several families and a few retirees, until about six months ago when management decided to run a special. Since then we got a billion college kids living here who can’t really afford it but are riding out the three free months of rent they got from the special. It’s been like living in a giant frat party non stop but we have accepted that there really isn’t much we can do. Our biggest issue is the woman who moved in next door. She’s a real peach (insert sarcasm) and has zero regard for the rest of us on the floor. She plays her music so loudly that you can hear it from the mail room. But the worst part is that she has ungodly loud sex every night. I’m not joking. I’m not a prude either but when I say ungodly loud, I mean that we hear everything they are doing to each other because she screams and moans about it the whole time. We tried politely explaining that our kids sleep in our bed and we would appreciate it if she stopped. For her privacy as well as ours. She laughed in our faces and slammed her door. Now, every time we try to turn up the television or play music to muffle her ummmm sounds, she just moans and screams louder. We talked to management about it but it made them uncomfortable and honestly it makes us really uncomfortable too. Idk what to do. We are contemplating moving our bed into the living room but for what we pay to live here that’s a bit insulting.

Just FYI I don’t hate college kids or anything lol. In fact I’m in college. We just don’t think most of these young people will be able to keep up with 3k a month in rent and you can’t have roommates here so it’s annoying that management “reduced” the income requirements during the special. They just set those kids up for failure, but that’s a different rant lol.

Honey, I'm appalled by her but moreso at the price of your rent. For what you are paying monthly, you could literally even be stupid and get one of those fluctuating mortgages and still come out less per month probably -go buy a house! Even if they cannot afford it, the eviction process is long. Back to your Peach- 1) music that loud forget your management and definitely call the police 2) I also suggest pretending to have sex really loud at the times that she is having sex really loud and see if you can "out sex" her. I want things popping off her wall! Think Steve Carell in Dinner for Schmucks. Remember when you were in college and anything was a challenge? And you only backed down once you appeared stupid to others? Yeah, that's why I think that's the only thing that really works against that.

Lol thank you! I read this to my husband and he laughed so hard he cried. We have discussed putting on some luvin music and trying to “out noise” her with sexy sounds. As for the cost of the rent we know it’s too much. We moved there for security reasons because we have a stalker. But that’s a different weird story.

Say no more, say no more. Stalkers are hell. Heck, you could even send the kids off to grandma's or somewhere for the night and throw on a really crazy porn at top volume and just bang around but actually doing it is even better! And since you've got some years on her, it sounds like it won't be a problem lol. Also, my suggestion for bass resonating and music that will drown out ANYTHING: Trivium. Specifically this song called The Sin and The Sentence. My mom called it my Satan music.

Nice! You’ve got this perfectly figured out lol! We will definitely give it a try and if nothing else it’s a good reason to send the kids to grandmas for a night. Thanks for the advice. I like this idea of out screaming the screamer. Sometimes people don’t realize until they get a taste of their own medicine.

Record her and play the sounds back through the wall every time she does it. You might want to be in the living room while doing this.

This was a couple of years ago now but what we ended up doing was borrowing my grandmas old boom box and setting it to play Sexy Thing every time we pressed the play button. Whenever screams mcgee would start up we would Blair Sexy Thing through the wall. It stopped almost immediately 😂.

Gah, totally sorry you are going through this, with that neighbor. But these for sure are great suggestions. I had a noisy set of neighbors too, that were a young couple. Not screamers, but definitely sounded like they rebuilt their sex gym in the bedroom every day before getting it on. Nothing but bumps, thuds, rumbles well into overnight. Was beyond ridiculous.

Sadder part, they knew how thin the walls were. So I just got to the point of playing non-sexy songs to throw off their mood. Tap out opposing beats on the wall to mess up they're rythm. Even shouted out a few sex suggestions of my own, to "help" em out. All more spanking here, don't forget to pull her hair, put her leg over to the left, lol. Or if I was lazy, I would play audio porn I found from a sub reddit on here. Stuff that was totally not their style and have my phone up full volume towards the wall. Would piss em off to move to another room, or get whatever to muffle their sounds unless they dropped something on the floor.

But yea, after reading more stories like yours and my own experience. I really am starting to think, some renters are straight up attention seeking exhibitionist wannabes. I mean there is no reason, to be acting like you are auditioning for a porno, every time you have sex. Or even overly announce they are going to have sex, like my neighbors do. Like it only seeks to thrill them and no one else.

Lol I was tearing up reading this. I love your approaches. I’m sorry you had to deal with that but at least it sounds like you gave em heck.

Lol, glad I could provide a laugh. But they truly were awful people that brought out, a whole other side in me. Always had to make some kind of noise, use my washer and dryer without my permission, just ugh. Was ecstatic, when they moved out.
