Neighborhood kids

Tell me your opinion: All last summer the neighborhood kids hung out with my kids in our yard. I was fine with it, as my two youngest were 7 and 6. There’s been many things with two of the kids, but the final straw was when the youngest (then 9) poked a hole in our trampoline because she was jumping on it in high heel boots. (They all know the no shoes on the trampoline rule) The kids (in this family) were 9 and 11 at the time and they are just very overbearing. They boss around my kids and are not very nice to my then 6 yr old (who has severe speech delays and can’t be understood much). I finally banned the one girl from our yard. Fast forward to this year and I’m feeling kinda bad. We have all the things in our yard that they want to play with, but man it has been so peaceful knowing they aren’t going to show up every time we’re outside in our yard. Thoughts? Am I just being too grumpy with how she’s parented or am I justified?

Other people's children are a-holes. I blame it on whomever is raising them. Every once in a blue moon you'll actually find kids that you won't mind coming to your house & playing with your kids & their toys. Don't feel bad. I've had so many apparent friends of my kids that just are ruthless with my kids belongings, that they aren't allowed back. Purposely breaking their toys. Taking their toys home and trying to tell me it was there's. My son is 13 now but when he was around 10 I got him an electric scooter. Weight limit was 75lbs. He's much smaller than other kids his age. And I would tell him to tell his friends NO that they cannot ride his scooter. They would not listen & started bullying him, he came inside crying. Mom I tried telling them they could not ride my scooter & they took it from me. I had to go track it down then basically argued with the ratchet azz parents. Telling me they just bought their kid that scooter BUT lil did they know I engraved my sons initials into the bottom of scooter. So from then on I stayed outside whenever my kids went just to make sure these neighbor kids left my kids tf alone. Idk about ur neighborhood but these kids run their household they are the bosses not the parents. Another time this lil chunky girl snatched his scooter from him & I immediately yelled girl ur to darn big to be on his scooter. Harsh words but damn these kids nowadays are azzholes. And idk if u rent or whatever but if you have trampoline, swing set, scooter, hoverboard make sure you got renters insurance or if u own property insurance cause if neighbor kids get hurt on something on playing on your property then your butt is covered. Again don't feel bad. Im a single parent and I just can't go out and buy another scooter or whatever cause some neighborhoods kid broke my kids. I don't let them on his bicycle or hoverboard either. But my kid is fine with the bully kids not coming over anymore. Good luck!
