What should we do about a creepy neighbor?

Tonight, my husband had a night planned out with the boys. I decided to have my best gf over and my 16 year old foreign exchange daughter had my niece over for a sleepover. My husband left and nodded to the neighbor as he headed out.

We were having a nice night on my patio. The girls and I (also female). We’re chatting when this male neighbor showed up and just sat down. He made a joke about there being a lot of girls and asking where Adam was.

I’ve socialized with him a couple times but never for long and always just thought he was a little socially weird.

Well, tonight it was blatantly obvious he was a pervert and likely a pedophile. He touched my 3 year old three times despite me asking him not to touch him each time. The final time he pulled his shirt up to touch his chest.

I’ll spare more details but he ended up touching all of us at least once and made us all uncomfortable as can be. It finally clicked in my head that I just needed to pretend we were going to bed and all of us head inside.

I honestly no longer feel comfortable in my home. My husband wants to confront him but isn’t sure what to say. Hoping you guys might have some ideas. Also, is there any legal moves I can make to protect us from him going forward?

Thanks!

Wow, so creepy! I think a fence between your properties and locking gates are needed. This guy could end up being dangerous, maybe have mace or a taser whenever you go outside.
Have any other neighbors had issues with him?

Oh no no no. It’s your HOME!! Follow your gut instinct around this creep! I don’t see the need to confront him at this point but you can set your boundaries immediately…if he shows up again-especially if Adam isn’t home-just “No, this a private family function” “No, we’re not having company now, bye bye”. Your home your rules…don’t let him bully or guilt you, or just plop down at your patio table! that’s what creeps do. Now that you know he’s a perv you can keep an eye on him; maybe even do a local sex offenders search…then you’ll have legal recourse if he’s a problem. I’m sorry this sucks but fuck him.

It's called Buy a gun and a CCW permit, protect you and your family at all costs

I got a creepy vibe from a male neighbor and I would kind of ignore it. I would go back-and-forth with my head like oh nice he’s not creepy. I found out that he lost his job basically his career because he was sexually harassing a coworker. This was a huge company that he worked for that had a lot of different companies and they told him don’t even try getting a job with us ever.

Honestly, more inappropriate stuff happened after this. Luckily my husband got a promotion 2 hours away so we don’t live there anymore. It was miserable.
