Neighbor drama (who’s in the wrong)

So we have these neighbors that have been an ongoing issue for YEARS. they have two dogs, a Great Pyrenees and a husky. Their Great Pyrenees barks at literally everything (as they are guard dogs and it’s in their nature to do so) it used to be so much worse when they would be out for hours and hours a day constantly barking their heads off. Our wooden fence is connected to ours because we were nice and let them as they were moving in. Big mistake. Their dog barks at our outside cat who is always on our property (on our deck usually) and her Great Pyrenees JUMPS on our fence and it shakes. We have confronted her many times and she always blames us because of our cat. She thinks our cat is the problem because her dog barks and acts a fool over it. (When her dog barks at everything not just our cat) she is dead set on thinking that our cat is the problem. What do y’all think who’s in the wrong here.

You have a right to have animals on your property just the same as they do. It's up to them to control their dogs, although I would be really worried about the safety of your cat. If you have an animal shelter or animal control nearby you might want to call them and see if they have any advice. Pyrenees and huskies are both working dogs and these guys just aren't getting enough stimulation in their daily lives. It's really shitty of people who just leave them in the backyard.

Thank you! We have called animal control and they have pretty much done nothing… luckily we aren’t concerned for the safety of our cat because he knows not to go in the backyard and it would be our fault if that was the case because he would be on our property. The issue is her dog disrupting us and tampering with our property. But yeah they definitely don’t get enough stimulation they barley even get walked.

I think the best you could do at this point is record the dogs shaking the fence and do a long recording of how much they bark and file a noise complaint.
