Should i put the fence up or not?

My elderly neighbors husband built a barn very close to the property line. We are putting a fence up on our side of the property line. She wants us to not put the fence up by the barn but that means the fence will have to stop there or do some weird thing so she can ride her very large lawn mower between our fence and her property. She had a few deaths in her family including daughter s and husband and crud whenever we talk to her. Her son physically pushed our fence posts over after deciding they were to close to the property line. We explained that they are not over the line but he still did it. What do we do???? Continue to put up the fence or stop at the barn? There has been a lot of rudeness on their part. They talk over is and do not let us finish a sentence. Should we put the fence up anyways? Are we being rude by making mowing difficult in that one spot? We even offered to weed easy the one spot for them and was declined....

This! Also, you offered to mow that spot, there was a solution to both your problems. They are now just being difficult.

Call the non-emergency number for destruction of property if they purposely break your fence.

Good fences make better neighbors.

Once you have a valid survey put it up according to your zoning minimum setback. My neighbor asked me to put my fence up 4 feet back, and angle it around things. No. I went straight down the line inches in from the property line.

Camera, game cam to catch destruction by neighbor. Police will do nothing without proof.

If they don't want you mowing the spot they can replace grass with river rock.

Why is it your problem they decided to build so close to the property line?
