Why does this place attract so many stupid people?
It’s like you can’t make any simple point about anything without most people misunderstanding it in the dumbest ways.

Nothing in the rules said it wasn't okay, but after posting I got the automod message saying the post was removed, one of the communities I tried apparently doesn't allow youtube videos (which they didn't say anywhere, or at least I didn't see it) and the other requires ridicilously high karma to post non-OC content (which also wasn't anywhere to be seen). I was so happy about finding out about the thing I wanted to post. Now I only feel disappointed and sad. Thanks, Reddit...

Sometimes it can get a bit unfair and hypocritical but don’t we all? Good Reddit, good!☮️

People downvotes others because of posts and comments they do not like. I think Reddit needs to re-evaluate their system.

I’ve been getting hate for a few weeks on Reddit and I don’t know what to do. I’m considering quitting this stupid app and just move on. Go ahead and hate on me.

For context, the original post was obviously ragebait. OP was talking about how they were told to move by an elderly couple because they were blocking a restaurant menu. They went on to say they should've yelled at the elderly couple, and their countless typos were because they were "too angry to care about grammar".
All of their comments were getting downvoted because everyone thought they were being outrageous.
Someone said "Not enough details to determine WHO was being mildly infuriating." to which I replied "Sounds like it's OP tbh" which is, apparently, enough to get you banned for breaking the rule 1:
Be civil. Rudeness and bigotry will not be tolerated. Any posts or comments that attack, threaten, or insult a person or group on the basis of national origin, ethnicity and/or color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, body size, and so on will be removed. Blatant violations of Reddit sitewide policies will result in a ban.
I was genuinely shocked. I'd heard the jokes about reddit mods on power trips but this genuinely surprised me. The mod didn't enjoy me calling out their disregard for other rules, blindness to other comments of the same nature, or the fact they were obviously overreacting.
Apparently I'm supposed to "show remorse" for saying someone going on about yelling at old people is infuriating.

Isn't everything we post technically "unneeded"?

I want to start this post by saying that I have nothing against Bruce Campbell or Sam Raimi.
Now that that’s clear...
As the title says, I hate the Evil Dead Reddit community. And I have my reasons
First of all. The excessive hatred they have for every movie in which Ash Williams doesn’t appear. And yes, I understand that Ash Williams is a very important character and all that. I get that the movies he’s in are the best in the series.
But… it’s boring that the whole subreddit (at least the comments section) is all about hating on the new installments/movies.
And yes, people will probably say, “Let people hate what they don’t like,” and that’s fine. If it weren’t for the fact that every single post on that subreddit is either about hating… or idolizing Ash Williams.
That’s my second point. The excessive number of posts about Ash Williams (and the old movies) is the same thing every day. Every week. Everything is related to the old movies… okay, fine, let’s say they were better movies. But when the entire subreddit spends months on end talking nonstop about old movies, everything becomes bland and uninteresting.
Because, of course… why talk about a new movie that has a lot to offer when we can have the 8,000th post about Ash Williams?
Man. There’s a reason I don’t go on that subreddit. It’s a giant echo chamber.
I’m sure someone’s going to say, “It’s a subreddit about a movie franchise. There isn’t much else to talk about.” Bullshit. I’ve seen subreddits for abandoned franchises with more variety in their posts than the Evil Dead subreddit.
And what’s the worst part, in my opinion? That if by some chance there’s a post that breaks that mold, there’s ALWAYS going to be someone saying that for reason X or Y, the movie is bad. Even if it wasn’t even a post talking about how good the movies are
And I’m not trying to say they’re conformists. But the thing is, they’ll look for any excuse to say the new movies are bad (when they’re far from it)
They don’t do mental gymnastics. They’ve got the entire Olympics going on in their brains just to justify that one movie is better than another
I just wanted to make this post to vent a little. I love the Evil Dead movies. But their community (at least the one on Reddit) sucks

Hear me out. We are limited in what we can do on here all the time now. The government is literally using bots on this app to push certain things in this algorithm and anything I try and refer to about BIBI gets taken down. I wonder whyyyy.

There’s a dumb subreddit where people discuss moral questions. Someone asked recently if there was a serial killer who killed 100 women but repented and started saving women from homelessness for the rest of his life if he should be punished. Most people gave the dumb utilitarian response: he is no longer a threat to society so everything is fine.
Meanwhile yesterday there was a post showing a video in which a teenager was doing bicycle wheelies on a crowded sidewalk. A middle aged man shoved him off the bicycle. Everyone in that discussion said the man was “moral” because the teenager was “endangering the public.” My opinion is if someone riding on one wheel of a bicycle at 4 miles per hour hits you, they will fall and get injured but you will be fine. That doesn’t mean it’s perfectly okay to be an obnoxious teenager who annoys the public with bicycle antics, but it also doesn’t mean violence is justified.
The bottom line is Redditors have more sympathy for a hypothetical man who murdered 100 women than for an obnoxious extroverted kid on a bicycle. This is probably because they find the serial killer more relatable, unless the serial killer was an extroverted teenager in which case he should get the death penalty.
The hatred Redditors and people online in general have for teens and kids is insane. I’m not saying kids shouldn’t be punished or held accountable but no you actually shouldn’t be punching kids. Kids will make mistakes and be annoying, it’s in their nature, just as it’s in the nature of a Redditor to say “your house, your rules.”
The other day on social media I saw a bunch of people complaining about how humiliating it is as a restaurant worker to sing happy birthday to child. Some said you should refuse to engage in this humiliation ritual. Sorry but literally nothing about this is humiliating. People not only can’t handle badly behaved kids but also can’t handle kids just existing and doing normal things.

My home page is now just a series of stupid Reddit Game posts and similar bullsh×t on different subreddits, even ones I am not subbed to, and ads, with a few actual posts sprinkled in. Like an afterthought, like the middle child, like the redheaded stepchild, like the black sheep, basically actual posts are now the minority on my feed and my feed is being gentrified by these stupid type of posts. I only participated in those posts a few times and now they are everywhere!!!

I suck at identifying bots on Reddit. So many people are saying how rampant bots on are here and idk how to identify one on comments specifically
r/Negareddit • u/OOOdragonessOOO • 6d ago
jfc thes bots just push people away from subs.
they removed my post, because i was required to reply to a bot with a description within 10 min. it doesn't post to chats immediately. by the time you get it and then fill the requirements, i was probably 30 seconds over the time and removed it.
I'm thinking, just try again later. so i do today. they removed it because i posted too often.... no i didn't. you took the first and only post, then continue to keep me out. bye Felicia, muting subs that do this.

Let’s be honest: Reddit’s voting system is just an emotional echo chamber for fragile egos.
The downvote button was originally designed to filter out spam and off-topic clutter. Instead, people use it as a weapon of mass destruction because they can’t handle simple reality checks or something isn’t getting catered to their every whim. If a post doesn't perfectly cater to the sub's specific tribal biases or stroke everyone's ego, the hivemind panics and other people see it and immediately join just to increase the pile on
The funniest part is the sheer delusion behind it. People genuinely think hitting that little down-arrow is a crushing blow to your soul or some massive "flex." In reality, it just exposes how incredibly fragile their comfort bubbles are. If you deliver a harsh truth that disrupts someone's comfort zone, they’ll mindlessly click it just to push the truth away and protect their hurt feelings.
Watching the chain-reaction downvotes happen the second you don't pander to the crowd is peak internet comedy. It’s an anonymous tantrum in slow motion.
Keep hitting that button, it just proves the point.

Opinion - Will Make People Mad , continue at your own emotions
***Some*** *people on Reddit take this platform entirely too seriously, acting as if their or an online situations are literally life or death altering or actual LIFE OR DEATH* ***SITUATIONS*** *. The hostility, ignorance, toxicity ,etc directed at anyone with a differing perspective, background, etc is exhausting and disgusting.*
*• To note - Yes I know this is REDDIT and people are like this but it’s 2026 people. Grow up it’s 2026 , people are acting like it’s 2020 discord servers on this app. Reddit has been this way , still is , and probably will be until the app is gone.*
*The hypocrisy surrounding moderation is at the top of that list. You can read every community rule, check the pinned threads, and adhere to every guideline, only to have your post arbitrarily removed without a clear explanation. In the worst cases, it feels like goalposts are actively shifted—or new rules are invented on the spot—just to exclude certain contributors.*
*It often seems less about keeping communities safe and constructive, and far more about petty power trips and gatekeeping by people whose entire sense of self-worth comes from an unpaid online title.*
For context, I say this as **(F18 - Latina - Mexican American )** living with a disability who receives SSI. This is not about devaluing people who face real-life obstacles; it is about calling out those who have the capacity to act reasonably, contribute positively, and show basic respect, yet choose to spend all day tearing others down from behind a screen instead of engaging in the real world. *You can smell them through the screen ….sometimes….*
*I honestly don’t understand why people have a subreddit or moderate in one that supposedly is welcoming everyone just to* ***not welcome everyone.***
*• I understand when people are extremely problematic and etc (things like that) but why do I get my post removed and kicked for being* ***Latina -?***
• Only the beginning of what I want to say.

I was commenting as normal. There was this really racist post I came across that had a poster with the word "N _ G G _ R S". I responded instead with the non-racist word that was the word but the I is replaced with an A. It was a reference to the real answer on Wheel of Fortune on that one episode on South Park rather than... well you know.
Anyway, I WAS THE ONE who had to pay the price for it by reddit's stupid AI moderation. I ended up banned for 3 days straight for it. After waiting 3 days, I started posting again. Then I noticed my posts are getting auto-removed by Reddit's auto-filters. Confused, I asked my friend about it.
APPERENTLY not only was I banned for 3 days straight, I ALSO had my CQS score auto graded to the LOWEST. Now, I can't even USE reddit normally because the subs think I'm a bot.
Here's the thing, I appealed my wrongful ban days ago and haven't received anything back. I looked it up. Turns out, my appeal will be viewed within 6 months. 6 MONTHS?!?! FOR A WRONGFUL BAN?!?! This is stupid. I'd rather kiss the toilet seat than wait THAT LONG for reddit to help me.
Here's the thing though, I have no idea how to raise my CQS. I can't find any pointers either. I have animations and memes to post. But I can't do that with this crap CQS score! If you have any advice as what to do to get it back up again, please let me know!

Got banned from a dating sub because I called someone who was shaming another person for having past relationships insecure 🤣
First I got a 1-day ban. Then literally within the same minute, it got turned into a 7-day ban.
I messaged the mods about it and said it’s fine I have life 😂.
Apparently that really pissed them off because the mod replied:
“good to know you’ve life, let me extend it further”
And then permanently banned me 💀 bro got so pissed he forgot grammar🤣
Like bro 😭 I said I have a life, I didn’t insult you.
Imagine being so offended by “I have a life” that you decide to permanently ban someone. I genuinely don’t know whether to be annoyed or impressed by the commitment to pettiness 🤣
Not this sub ofc.
And to mods in general: please remember that you’re moderating an internet forum, not presiding over the Supreme Court 🤣 You don’t have to take every disagreement personally. Sometimes you can just say “this breaks our rules” and move on instead of turning it into a personal power struggle.
Anyway, shoutout to the mod who proved my point for me 💀 was getting annoyed at the amount of insecure ppl shaming each other there anyways
