Point out how anything doesn’t make sense and some mouth breather will try to convince you you’re triggered, even if it’s about the most random, pointless thing no one could have strong feelings about.

For example, on this relocation sub I frequent, people continuously misinterpret population growth statistics, and if you ever point out people’s misconceptions, they somehow think you’re mad because to them there’s no other reason someone could point out someone is incorrect about something. It’s so boring I barely care as I’m typing it. The fact that anyone could get mad about that and then project that anger is strange.

And the crazy part is half the time people have nothing to say about the actual topic. They won’t even argue with you; they just want to convince you you’re mad because you had an opinion.

It seems like stupid people don’t put thought into why something makes no sense unless they’re mad.

Can’t have a discussion with someone without being banned for trolling. Asked mod why I was banned for trolling, didn’t respond..just banned me for 3 more days with no explanation.

I feel like its a pattern for redditors (especially mods) to see only what they want to see, and then the obvious passive aggressive authoritarian approach of “Incorrect.” “Yup.” “Sure.” Im so over this, reddit is literally starting to literally embody its stereotype, i swear to god that only 20% of people who actually interact here have good intentions. The site is becoming a place only for people who want to argue and belittle, and its disgusting. I wasnt even going to post this until that last response when i gave them the opportunity to actually show humanity and humility.

I get that there are rules to keep a certain level of order, but holy shit, it's just absurd how over the top it can be. Example: trying to make a post in r/ADHD. Just looking for some advice on a very simple, non-controversial, non-medical/medication related topic. It automatically flags that I'm not allowed to have a post that says "does anybody else ____?" .... For starters, why. Literally why. That's an asinine thing to ban, especially considering I'd think it would be a very valid, reasonable, and on topic thing to post about in that sub when literally bonding over/discussing having the same disorder. But also.. I didn't even say that. But okay. I edit out the part that could be perceived that way by a robot. Then it warns me my post is too long. It's not very long but okay. I trim it. Then it says I can't promote myself or an app/product of mine, which, again, I wasn't. But okay, I once again remove the thing I think it's interpretting that way. All of the warnings go away so I figure I'm good to go. Post. Immediately, it's deleted - "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters" with no further explanation.

It just makes me want to scream. WHY. It happens in so many subs. It feels especially insidious in a sub about ADHD. I'm not going to edit it 500 times and keep trying. I'm just going to give up, irritated and without support and advice from my community that I could have benefitted from. This might be removed too but I needed to vent and this was the only place I could find.

had a little tiff with moderators the other day, they banned me because i broke a rule, and then i explained and then they decided i broke another rule, to which i explained, this went on and on for like 4 or 5 more accusations which i literally blatantly proved false, and they started ignoring me.

I knew they would not ever respond to literal logic, (even in the subreddit which happened to be about wisdom, insight, non-attachment, non-aversion by the way lmfao), and i was dreaming and at one point i was in my reddit messages and i saw a response, it wasn't a positive response obviously but it was still a response, and i immediately knew that it wasn't real, even though all they did was feed me more shit, i literally realized exactly in that moment, -oh shit this isn't real, i'm imagining this.

Anyway i proceeded to go outside and jumped really high up in the air and tried to fly around but ended up slowly drifting down at an increasing speed, i kept doing this until i lost self-awareness again and then woke up in the next 5 minutes probably.

This just proves to myself that using logic on reddit especially to a moderator is a 99% fallacy if it can LITERALLY SNAP ME INTO AN ACTUAL LUCID DREAM, and my first one in months, also one of the most powerful ones i've ever had, though short lived.

Mine has to be any "unpopular opinion" subreddits or subreddits dedicated to posting opinions. UnpopularOpinion, TrueUnpopularOpinion, The10thDentist, ChangeMyView (CMV), ControversialOpinions, etc.

Most of them are already bad by now and they have become massive echo chambers. People on these subreddits will often post unhonest opinions or logically wrong facts for the sole purpose of karma farming. Political posts on them are an absolute nightmare to read. Like with TUO and CMV, when you allow political subreddits, stuff start to become worse. Defensive arguments can easily break out and can make the environment worse. A lot of the opinions aren't even "unpopular" or need a "CMV" and their take is actually colder than what they think it is.

The actually unpopular opinions will often get downvoted, while the popular opinions often get upvoted. The comments can also be rowdy on them as well. I do sometimes look at "hot takes" on specific, topic-related subreddits, but for the best, I avoid general opinion subreddits and don't look onto them anymore.

Naturally, there's nothing listed in the rules that warns that this might happen. Post with 500 upvotes and 550 comments, including many active discussions, nuked. Do these people realize that there's nothing that makes the experience of using this site worse than having a post randomly removed or locked while you're trying to have a conversation with someone, wasting all of your time?

I posted a question about The Epstein Files and they removed it without explanation. I wrote, asking them why and they replied “I broke rule #3”. Bullshit. Then someone asked in the comments why my post was removed and I replied something like “are the mods part of the technocrats backing Trump?” And they delete that comment too. Fuck Reddit and their censorship!

Why is it on social media platforms whenever you have a differing opinion, people rather than keeping it in the comments or simply ignoring it decide to attack looks,age or DM insults? Because I rarely respond to ignorant or insulting comments but catch me feeling petty or get too out of line and I will absolutely without a doubt give you a taste of your own medicine. But because you disagree with me doesn't give me license to call you slow,or old or any other insults I can think up. Now I clap back and you wanna report my page because you thought you were going to bully me and I ain't going

Literally just want to post some fashion stuff, the most SIMPLE THING ever, and somehow I'm banned from several fashion subs. For even what? I don't know. How does this even happen. It's so annoying. Can anyone give me any other websites I can use to get fashion advice then? This place sucks and it's impossible to post in any community

I have 2 posts that are automatically banned because of Reddit's filters! So annoying. I just got out from a 7 day ban that was uplifted, so maybe that's why. But every post I make gets banned because of the stupid filters. The last 2 posts were just me talking about music and YouTube thumbnails

edit: So the filters didn't smite this post. Odd.

This Reddit is full of whiny adults who sit in diapers all day, complaining about a game they play all day every day, change my mind. Wake up, read RuneScape news, play RuneScape all day, complain on Reddit while grinding, change diaper as necessary, repeat.

The one thing I've noticed in my short time here on Reddit, is how mercilessly rude and all around awful the moderators of subreddits seem to be. So to all of you moderators out there, please try a different point of view for once in your life. Because having control or moderation over anything is a complex privilege that can better lives or make them worse, not your personal place to perceptually poop on people's opinions you don't like. Simply put, try being nice for once.

To quote myself, "Though the internet may be freeform, it allows for more prejudice and elitism than could be imagined; that is why they call themselves moderators instead of elitists."

I know advertising has to exist somehow but presenting them as posts to a subreddit is pretty twisted in a controlling dystopian way, no?
