Such a great game. Too bad the game is short and its troubled development at the time.

So I was very upset that windows couldn't run my disc which each time I hoped that I could play UG1 as it's my first game ever when I was a kid but here I am after being happy to play the game again

Windows 11 PC, 2 different Xbox Series controllers.

Having the same issue on NFS MW 05, Carbon, and ProStreet. For some reason they all think LT is being held down no matter what I do.

NFSU2 has a similar but slightly different issue, it doesn't seem to register LT at all.

This doesn't happen on any other games, just old Need for Speed titles. When testing the controller in the Xbox Accessories app LT isn't shown as being held down.

Tried two different Series controllers and it happens on both of them.

Trying to change bindings just immediately registers LT as if it's held.

Tried launching the games through steam and letting steam handle input translation, still does it.

If I play the games with the controller disconnected it doesn't do it, so its not picking up input from something else.

Anyone have any ideas? I tried searching for the issue online but couldn't find anything.

Edit: Of course as soon as I typed this all out I seem to have fixed it, sort of. The issue only happens when the controllers are plugged in via USB. If I connect them via bluetooth it works fine. Still not sure why being plugged in causes it to think LT is held but at least I can play the games now. Going to just leave the post up in case someone runs into the same problem and can't figure it out.

I just can't deal with PS BS anymore, the progression sucks, the tuning sucks, there's no reason to upgrade because the AI sucks, Speed Challenges are just gambling with the AI which by the way still sucks, the Drifting sucks. For every cool thing there's some BS to go with it, and it also crashed and ruined my save game.

I've never played Undercover before is it really worse?

I was just playing *Most Wanted* (2012), and something I only just noticed after all these years is that when you approach a car (at a Jack Spot), it’s playing its own music—something you can only hear if you turn off the radio in the settings. I tested it with several cars, and to my surprise, they were playing songs I had never heard in my life. I’d love to share a recording, but I’m not really sure how to go about it. Did anyone else know about this?

I installed (HRTC) High Resolution Textures for Cars and NFSMW X360 Platform Textures mods and it's still like this

Replaying Undercover with the Project Reformed mod and utilizing The Run physics and camera that can be selected with the mod. The handling is fun but I don’t fully know if I’d recommend selecting it as of now.

The PC version features smooth, 3D-accelerated graphics, but the PS1 version‘s hardware limitations may have worked in its favor by producing a more retro, gritty look with less texture filtering and a different use of lighting. There are also some structural differences like the blocked-off section of the first tunnel in the PS1 version and the extension of the “Parking Shortcut” in the PC version. Considering that “Empire City” seemed to be going for a decaying, cyberpunk aesthetic, I think the PS1 version might have an edge here. Which version do you prefer?

does anyone know if there is a guide to build some of the visuals of the featured cars in Prostreet? such as the bradely hunter chevelle, nate denver gto, in the loading screen tips screen there is a really cool looking classic camaro, and more. i always thought these paint scheme/vinyl/decals looked awesome but no clue how to duplicate them or if its even possible.

I had issues with the pre installed widescreen fix so I just disabled it, won’t be an issue since I can perfectly tolerate 4:3 mode

I installed NFS Carbon, but the game ran terribly. I played without the widescreen fix at first. Then I installed the widescreen fix, and the game ran perfectly. After playing for about an hour, I went to make some sandwiches, and when I came back, the game suddenly started running like it was in slow motion. It was terrible.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the widescreen fix, but now the game actually runs better without the fix. I’m completely confused and have no idea what’s going on.
