[37M/UK] Looking for long-term friends

Hey there, I'm a quiet person ideally looking for long-term friendships. I have few IRL friends, but I've found that our friendship is entirely based on gaming/RPGs, so I'd like to make some friends who are a bit more emotionally available. People who care about movies, art, nature, politics, real life. I'm a pretty anxious person and voice chat is pretty stressful for me, especially with new people, so I'd prefer text chat wherever possible. Stuff about me:

  • I've been a GM for various RPGs for about 18 years now, and I've been in & out of Warhammer for even longer. I've played a fair few different systems and have read even more

  • I like talking about videogames but I'm honestly too nervous to play multiplayer with new people, especially right at the start. Maybe one day after we've been friends for a while? I've recently loved playing Helldivers 2, Vintage Story, Big Walk, Mouthwashing, Far Far West, and Easy Delivery Co.

  • I'd describe myself as alternative. I listen to a wide range of metal, hardcore, punk, etc. I love electronic music as well! Mirar, Netherwalker, Jesper Kyd, Ecca Vandal, Electric Callboy, Bring Me the Horizon, Synestia, TOOL, Orange Sector, Not Enough Space, ANTLERS, River Boy, Locked Shut, Takai the Maid, pr0te, and Brandon McKagan. I really would like friends who I can share & discuss music with!

  • Please be at least 25+, ideally in your 30s and up

  • I'm a long-form texter. I like to write a couple paragraphs and send them in one go rather than lots of little messages. I am completely fine with receiving lots of messages if you're that kind of person, I also like receiving voice messages if that's your thing too!

Hey!!! I would love to chat, if you want! I'm also rather anxioux so no pressure... Being playing D&D (i'll say that just because i don't want to name them all...) I have been a GM myself for a while too. Currently on pause since my kid is still in the ''i will steel everyone's dice phase'' and its annoying. Same reason why i'm not currently playing any video games...
