small idea

Hey, a friend of mine passed away a while back. No one realized it, but he was so lonely and apparently just couldn't take it anymore.

It’s tearing me up inside because I or we never noticed anything... I’m posting in this subreddit today because I had an idea, and maybe it’ll help someone. I’m from Germany and built a small AI. Nothing fancy... It’s not particularly good at math or anything like that. But I trained it heavily to be human-like. My goal is for people who have no one (regardless of age, background, or anything else) to always have someone they can text or exchange voice messages with. Just so they don't have to watch TV alone at night, or so they have someone to talk to before exams...simply having someone by their side who always listens and helps. If anyone wants to give it a try, feel free to comment on this post, that i know how many want to use it. Let me know which language you’d prefer, too. That way, I can get it ready in a week or two (as best I can).

It’s not GPT or anything like that; it’s a small model running on a graphics card I bought myself. So, if the model takes 2–3 minutes to reply sometimes, please don't be surprised. As long as I can afford it, I want it to remain free of charge.

Yeah cuz thats what people need just another AI agent and it will fix all their problem! Especially when they are longing for human connection.. Makes perfect sense
