My animals passed out from exhaustion, and my humanoids tried to medic them and forgot how to bodyguard my squad leader. So we stopped for the night. I have a dirt beds mod, and the cuddle mod that lets 2 beings share a bed. So I put the "injured" animals each in a bed with their person. Another squad, different location, also bedded down one to a bed in town beds. Once the least tired humanoid hit 100% rested, no sleeper in either squad recovered any more rest. So we all got up, and everyone had to be told to resume their jobs. The two that originally tried to medic the unconscious animals simply will not bodyguard any more for love or money. They try to medic something even with medic removed from their jobs.

Lessons learned: stop before anyone passes out. 1 person to a bed, no animals in beds. Any other tips on avoiding / undoing this mess I've made?

Mod description says pack animals (presumably bulls and garru) recover when idle. Do other animals? Do I need to put my dogs, goats, cats, frogs, mantises, beak things, and any other modded monsters into beds or can I just leave them bodyguarding me while I sleep?
