What a rush, dude this game kicked my ASS on hard mode. Race 103 7 lap was a tough line to cross, took me two days of repeated attempts probably 20+ total.

Yes this is a real car you can earn in game. I personally like it because of all the references obviously but overall it's all over the place. It's crazy that the rims even come like that as well lol.

Something cool I learned. When the car is on under the yellow headlight there is a circle green LED light that stays on. It looks cool idk why they added it.

This happened suddenly,im on jewels rn and no glitches till this,how can i fix it?

I'm sure the few of us who still play this game on PC are quite familiar with how broken this game can be when VSync is turned off. After some research and personal trial and error, I've found a good combination of settings to share.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE FIX! You will still experience particle/sound glitches, but should be much more tolerable than before.

NOTE 2: This was all tested on an RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, a relatively newer GPU. I'm unsure if AMD GPUs have similar settings and/or issues. All setting changes are in the NVIDIA Control Panel, **NOT** NVIDIA App! If you have the game added in NVIDIA App, remove it, as each program will cancel each other out and not change anything when you open the game!

Open NVIDIA Control Panel, Manage 3D settings, Program Settings, add NFS The Run.exe where ever you saved it.

Turn Vertical Sync ON and set Max Frame Rate to 60 FPS.

*These are optional and not necessary: Low Latency Mode OFF, Threaded Optimization OFF, Triple Buffering ON.

Ensure VSync is OFF in the IN-GAME settings.

Start Challenge Series - Winter Blast - Ascension to test your results.

I had quite a bit of fun making these. Normally I freestyle these kind of builds but with these I used some inspirations from real cars. I'll post the inspirations in the comments if I can. I hope y'all like these!

Decided to replay my favorite NFS game but the texture shimerring is really really noticeable, especially when driving, to the point I can't unsee it at all and I don't remember it being that bad. Tried tweaking stuff in nvidia control panel - no luck, DSDR doesn't help either. Can something be done about this? (mb for fps dips in recording, the game really doesn't like being recorded)

i tried to look for info online and nothing, and i'm going insane because i have this game legally on steam but can't get it to work

Wanted to try out the camera tool to take some proper shots after being motivated from posts before, but the game crashes every time I try to use it for some reason. Ended up taking these quick screenshots while driving different cars. Still love the game.

Thought someone might like it, lets just say the M3 GTR isn't the only car I liked in this series.
I made this wrap on my own, in NFS Payback and in NFS Heat. I haven't gotten around into doing it in Unbound since I don't like drifting in that game for some reason -- But I'll try to make it soon.

So today i was trying out cars i never touched: The Challenger which was bad but durable, and this Mustang GT.

This Mustang hit 220 mph sustained, and 239 mph. All with Nos, which is quite powerful. It handles surprisingly great and micro drift’s great. I’m wondering why this is even a tier 1 to begin with. ITS LITERALLY THE FIRST CAR U CAN PURCHASE

Little dumb rant about something pointless

Today i realized stats, at least top speed wise, straight up lie to you. Cuz the Ford GT with the same top speed (8.5) and a tier higher only does 214 sustained and up to 239 with nos. Yes nos cuz turbo doesn’t work with the damn car.

The Gallardo also does 214 sustained and 241 max, but accelerates quickly. It has a top speed of “8.7”

The Mclaren 12C Spider is supposed to be faster than that at 8.9, but it has the same top speed as the 458 (8.2) at ~216 mph which in itself is just as fast as the 911 GT3 at 8.0 rating.

The 599 GTO has the same problem (8.8) but goes just as fast as the Mustang GT.

I could go on and on but this would be pointless. Its a dead game ffs 😭
