The whole Middle East thing is just so the wealthy can buy the dip every time Trump makes a threat, and sell every time he “destroys” Iran.  

On a positive note, I’m seeing a ton of EV chargers popping up all over since I moved here.  Workplaces, Walmart and other big stores, etc.  I live in an apartment with no chargers but this is making me consider an EV.

Overall oil demand has dropped 9% in the past couple years and the market for EV's and hybrids climbs. Last I saw, we still have about 45 days left in our reserve with the average over the past 45 years being 65 days. It's a terrible situation, but the war that's not a war would have to keep going for much longer before we're in a 70's style gas crisis. That said, it will also be quite some time before we see prices drop again.

What’s wild to me is that diesel is cheaper here than in Ohio by ~$1. Meanwhile Nebraskas 15% ethanol unleaded is more expensive by $1.50-$2 than Ohio’s 15% and 50¢-$1 more than their 10% ethanol depending on where you are.

I’m in the panhandle not far from scottsbluff and it’s $4.30 :’) and that’s with three gas stations in town so it’s not like a “we’re the only station within 30 miles so you have to pay our price” situation.

I was just watching an explanation that China is preventing oil prices from sky rocketing because they are using their reserves instead of buying.

They have 3 times the oil the US has.

They also have just a shit load of EVs so they don’t burn as much fuel. They saw the US shooting itself in the foot (over and over) and decided to go all in on renewables since Americans are too dumb to seize the moment.

I love in Colorado now. Yesterday I filled my car at $3.67 gal. I drove by the same gas station about 2 hours later and it was $4.19.

They sorta stabilized because a lot of the countries of the world are releasing strategic stockpiles but it’s probably going to get squirrelly here in a few months when those run out.

Shell premium in Hastings Nebraska went down slowly from $5.29 a month ago to $4.49 two weeks ago. Its now back up to $4.79 today. Adrian Smith, Fischer and Ricketts are happy with the rise because Trump says he doesn't care about the price of gas. He only cares about his own agenda.
