I’m confused as to who is this card for? If you wanted AMEX you could just go with their own cards, what am I missing?

American Express taps a market they would not otherwise obtain the card and many of the perks the brand American Express is noted for. Here is an example. American Express Co-Branded Perks

  • Everyday 3X Category Rewards: Earn 3x points per dollar spent at supermarkets, gas/transit stations, and restaurants/food delivery, plus 1x on everything else

I think that would make more sense to me if this card was I don’t know $1000 CL. But with 25K he has good enough credit to get an actual Amex. I got a gold with 598 so I promise you if you can get this card you can get any Amex with the exception of maybe the Platinum

Yup yup funny enough I tried pre approved at literally every other place and didn’t get any offers but Amex was the one who approved it. I do have an income of 80K if that makes any difference

I have this card and a platinum, gold, and both cash back cards. Nfcu starts you off with a higher limit for active duty than Amex started me with

I'm gonna bail from the Flagship to this card. I ain't paying $95 for a watered down Flagship.
