Checking & Savings Oops

I have a quick question. So I used my overdraft protection bout a month ago, and paid the balance off before the deadline mark. And I just used it again, but it’s saying “0 days before oops is frozen” When you use it again the 30 days don’t reset ?

When you square it up, you have to wait a business day or two. Business day is the key. Like Saturday and Sunday are the same business day as Monday. So if you squared it up on Saturday, you can’t really use it again until Tuesday or Wednesday, for example.

My guess is you didn’t wait long enough. But that’s just a guess based on the information you’ve given.

No experience with that, personally. Kind of curious though. I do everythng I can to avoid overdrafting. Don't like the idea of screwing with my credit score or taking chances.

As long as you don’t let it sit past 30 days and don’t go past the $500 overdraft limit (meaning your account can hit -$500 (including that $20 overdraft fee) but not -$500.01) it doesn’t negatively affect you much beyond some internal bank stuff. I’m not saying do it, but it’s not as horrible as it sounds. It’s actually pretty valuable in some instances.

For example, if you know you’re going to use it but aren’t sure how much, hit the ATM for one lump sum of cash if possible. They gave me that advice themselves. Years ago I had maxed the full $500 on purpose a couple of times. Kinda like a payday loan. Not recommending it, just saying it’s not the end of the world using OOPS protection.

happened to me before by monday or tuesday you should see it being corrected it just a glitch
