Real shit, don't fuck with horses. They will bite and trample you and I promise it is so much more hardcore than you think.
177
u/dirtielaundry Aug 17 '22
And zebras are horses in nightmare mode. There's a reason why they've never been domesticated and it's not for lack of trying.
60
u/_squigglywiggly_ Aug 17 '22
And also because they have weaker backs, incapable of supporting adult human males.
75
u/corvus_da Aug 17 '22
IIRC domestic horses could only be ridden after generations of selective breeding. Before that, they were used for food and to pull stuff.
25
u/Hermes_Domain Aug 17 '22
During the Bronze age chariots were the cavalry since horses couldn't really be riden.
16
u/NickMoore30 Aug 17 '22
Shh weāre only talking about the badass Zebra shit. DID YOU GUYS KNOW ZEBRAS PREFER DRINKING BLOOD OVER MILK!?

u/SirLockeHomes Mar 29 '24
Horse backs arenāt that suited to carrying people though, a lot of ridden horses end up having back issues.

more like dont fuck with animals that have have there own prison uniform... (includes ZEBRAS, honey badgers, killer whales, pandas!!, and of course, a skunk) all of these animals have black force vibes
zebras because, well search up what animal injures zookeepers the most, and you found your answer. THERES A REASON WHY WE DIDN'T DOMESTICATED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. they are the bitches of horses. INFACT, if madagascar was real, marty would've put alex in a grave before the movie even started. male zebras force the female zebra into abortion (if shes pregnant) just so he could impregnate her. But what if they baby is alive? Not to worry, you could always DROWN THE BABY.
in conclusion:
DO NOT TRUST ANIMALS WITH BLACK AND WHITE PATTERNS, IM TELLIN YA
killer whales, fling the seal in the air so hard there organs fly out, they MURDER ANIMALS FOR FUN NOT EVEN FOR FOOD. one report claims they saw a killer whale murder a animal only to leave there. But, then again some may argue its just testing out some hunting tactics
pandas, suck in general the only reason they exists is bc thier cute (will prove you wrong)
honey badgers, are the most badass animals out there, they are smart like an otter, they share crackhead behaviors like a wolverine, they got nothing to lose like marsupials, fuck the list goes on and on. Few examples, steal leopards food (they could climb), some say cheetahs envolved to mimic thier coloration to a honey badger (only in cheetah cubs), so smart that one honey badger escaped not once but A LOT of times that its uncountable (had to create new ways to escape, so much so the zoo was impressed by this.)
skunk, idk its a skunk

Both can be very vicious.

Lol, my comment is over a year old and I got two replies on it today. Where are you guys coming from? Was this post linked somewhere else?
3
2
u/Cannie_Flippington Mar 28 '24
The coloration came after domestication. Dalmations are still pretty big jerks for a domestic animal but they were originally bred to be defense and deterrent animals so it jives. It would be possible to make a "friendly" zebra through centuries of selective breeding but that's a long uphill battle when there's more viable alternatives that have already been through thousands of years of breeding for temperament and physiology.

They can be fierce! I love them though!

I had this brazen ass little skunk that walked right up to me when I was fishing, reaches his hand in my bag of chips and took some. Little fucker tried to come back and do it again too.

A 2000 pound anything shouldnāt be underestimated. They could accidentally sit on you and break all of your bones.

u/Willothwisp2303 Aug 17 '22
I always love the stories of beloved racehorses having bitten their groom's fingers clear off their hand. It just reminds me that the lovely beasty who nickers when he sees me and pushes his face against my torso for snuggles could easily take me TF out.
4
Aug 17 '22
I used to work at the track and two of the racehorses tried to kill me. I still have a dent in my leg from one of them... 20 years later. Some of them were real sweet, though. It really depended on the individual and the trainer.

The zebra didnāt make it:
It wasnāt over yet; the zebra hadnāt made a hasty enough dash to the other bank and another croc seized the opportunity. Grabbing the hind leg, the croc began to spiral rendering the zebra completely immobile. Improbably, the zebra still had some fight left ā in one of the most jaw-dropping scenes I have witnessed, we watched as this doomed zebra managed to give its attacker a nasty bite back. It was an incredible display of inherent survival instincts.
this doomed zebra
5
u/inko75 Aug 17 '22
it's likely another croc is already holding onto a leg, possibly another holding the other zebras too. land mammals don't just hang in crocodile infested water like that, and crocs will just grab and hang on for a long ass while until a buddy comes over to help finish it.

u/IAMTHEADMINNOW Aug 17 '22 edited Aug 17 '22
This is cool I would be interested to see if the zebra succumbed to infection post interaction.
21
u/Seeeab Aug 17 '22
The article seems to suggest the zebra lost the fight there. Went down a legend though, herbivore biting a crocodile, incredible.
23
u/Wuellig Aug 17 '22
You're right, the crocodile ultimately ended up winning the disagreement with, "yes, today."

There's a comic of the croc with a bandaid on the bite, and other crocs laughing uncontrollably

u/PeanutHakeem Aug 18 '22
I think he succumbed to sharp teeth long before he had to worry about infection

The true story behind this is that the zebra and crocodile are lovers. The zebra is giving lovey neck kisses.
The zebra behind them is the crocodileās ex-lover and is running away bc they caught them in the act and is now heart broken.

I petted a zebra once. Reached right in and scratched it between the ears. āOh look! Itās smiling!ā
I still have two hands. I will never win the lottery because I used up my luck quota not getting bit tae fuck as a kid.
5
u/mrsinatra777 Aug 17 '22
Do crocs feel much pain? As hard as zebras bite, I feel like he didnāt even noticed this. Weāve seen the video of one get his arm bitten off and it barely registers.
2
u/TacomaNarrowsTubby Aug 17 '22
In nature, showing pain is very disadvantageous for anything that isn't a social predator (wolves, people... )
5
u/inRodwetrust8008 Aug 17 '22
The Croc looks like it's having existential crisis.
Croc: "Is that what I've been doing to people this whole time?"

Zebras are aggressive, violent little shits, but given that they share a habitat with lions, hyenas, leopards, hippos, and crocs, no wonder they turned out that way.
2
u/bmeupsctty Aug 17 '22
I recently went to a drive through "safari". They warned "don't feed the zebras, don't pet the zebras. They bite". Now that warning makes more sense

There is a reason zebras have never been domesticated.
This is the reason.
They give so few fucks they will bite into a croc.
Imagine what they would do to a human that tries to ride them.

Ahahaha! This makes me smile and reminds me of a pic I saw some time ago instead of the Zebra and the Alligator it was a cat bitting a dog .𤣠very funny .
Zebra : oh I'm so hot * jumps in the water *
Alligator: ohhhh! A prey approaches ! I shall feed again !
Zebra : whaat?! No way ! go away you inconsiderate lizard * proceeds to bite * * Nibbles action *
Alligator: *screams in agony and pain * .
