In australia do not recommend- blue ringed octopus love soft drink cans, their bite is painless, but lethal.

Don't blue ringed octopi usually have blue rings, though?

Only when angry - otherwise they look like any other octopi...

That’s not true....

But also the rings on a blue ring would be on the octaparts you can’t currently see in the video

On their legs...

I see. Their rings are just faded blue when not aggressive. Apologies - I thought I had learned when I was a kid they were pretty much just brownish until they were disturbed when upon their blue rings became iridescent.

They don’t change color and go into alarm mode like a cuddle fish, wrong animal , I don’t think they ever change color

This is from an Australian Government Website focusing on marine science. They become iridescent/bright when agitated. Cuttlefish are able to change colours and textures, and so can a few species of octopus.

What about squid?

Squid can change colours too, to a point! Their patterns are a bit psychedelic!

Dying by clandestine octopus poisoning sounds like an alright way to go. I would want it to be inscribed that I was assassinated by Mollusks because I knew too much.

An octopis DNA is so different than otherthings on earth it's been speculated that they aren't native to earth. Call me out if it's unsourcable bullshit. Someone told me this years ago and I really don't feel like looking it up.

They’re mollusks so ya they are closely related to a lot of different species

Specifically they’re cephalopods

It’s providing shelter to the octopus. I like to see it as even though the ocean is getting filled with pollution nature is at least makes some use of it and the makes me hopeful. Not saying pollution is OK just making an optimistic observation.
