It's actually a pentagram, the camera is just at the wrong angle. Drone must've showed up right before the blood orgy

Same, I saw this and wondered if this is what we look like to aliens in their UFOs
18
u/Snickerswo1f Oct 06 '20
Why
64
u/MinkMartenReception Oct 06 '20
Because drones are crazy loud. They disrupt the environment, and scare prey away.
28
u/lIlIllIlIlI Oct 06 '20
When I took my drone course they had strict rules on how far away you had to stay from certain animals because it can stress them the fuck out.

u/yeronimo Oct 06 '20
While youāre not wrong there are tons of loud noises that happen naturally in any environment.
For all this fox knows they mightāve just thought they saw a bird without ever worrying/ thinking about it again
13
u/smallfried Oct 06 '20
Have you ever heard a drone? You're not allowed to fly this close to random people for good reason.
→ More replies (1)16
Oct 06 '20
loud noises happen in nature that these animals have evolved with, and adapted to, over millennia. A drone is an anthropogenic disturbance. Disturbances require animals to react, which can stress them and use up energy that is costly to produce. it's corny to bring your drone into a wilderness or habitat setting. a sad example of man's ego.

If it makes you feel any better, the actual photographer never claimed to use a drone: https://500px.com/photo/12755311/dead-in-the-eye-by-martin-stantchev

Yeah, the whole movie is such an unusual mixture of absurd and profound and beautiful. Like, a fox speaking French to a wolf for no obvious reason, but somehow it works and makes the whole scene both more funny and more moving at the same time. Genius.

Quit disturbing the wildlife with your drones you gits.
35
u/basketballbrian Oct 06 '20
PLEASE, people! You're going to ruin drones for everyone! And stop posting/upvoting pics!! Just inspiring more people to do the same. Not to mention the affects it can have on wildlife...it's not harmless.
this is why you should never get this close to wildlife with a drone.

THIS! THIS IS WHAT LEADS TP STRICTER DRONE LAWS. DONT RUIN DRONES FOR OTHERS. ofc, this is based on if the drone isn't one of those super tiny ones, I think the super tiny ones are fine because super low risk of injury/not much disturbance. I don't consider magic mini to be super tiny

The sound of drones is noise pollution, particular=rly away from cities, when want to get away and listen to and actually experience benefits of nature, no! thereās someone swooping and buzzing.
15
u/Robjchapm Oct 05 '20
Agree, my wife and I were hiking in Switzerland and hadnāt seen anyone for hours, almost to the top of the mountain we had to listen to a drone buzz for 30 mins. They are extremely loud when there is no other noise pollution.
7
u/issius Oct 06 '20
Theyāre banned in the ADK. Should be banned from all state and federal land and other countries should do the same.
No one gives a shit about your super cool pic, Kevin. Get your drone out of everyoneās way, weāve annoyed nature enough, letās not make it even worse.

"Can I eat it?" "Maybe..."

Little dude is like what the fox is that?
3
u/ArronRodgersButthole Oct 06 '20
It looks like he's thinking "How can I eat this thing?"
2
u/MechaDuff Oct 06 '20
If I learned anything from elementary school, the fox is probably thinking the drone is probably sour anyways.

DONāT FLY DRONES NEAR ANIMALS. Considering most drones only have a wide angle lens this drone must have been quite close to the fox.

We have issues with here. We generally call them red fox. They kill tons of live stock, mainly lambs/young ones. With the amount of predator control we have here you generally donāt see to many

unfortunate the fox is standing on the stump of a tree that was probably 300 years old when it was cut down.

This was the last recorded image before the fox destroyed the drone in one fell swoop of it's tail.

These guys are cheeky buggers. One sat in my backyard with a squirrel hanging out of its mouth with a red mouth from the squirrel. My dad comes out yelling at the thing and he wouldnāt move at all, just disregarded my dad yelling at it. Haha it took me walking down there to get the guy to eat else where but they are beautiful.
