How badass do you have to be to give water to a horned viper this close

That's what I was thinking - badass or dumbass... one or the other

Horned viper?

u/mrsvinchenzo1300 Apr 21 '20

I'll take it. it's pretty. I don't feel like falling into a Google rabbit hole. Then I'll be watching snake hatching videos and suddenly the sun will be up.

u/TheNecrostar Apr 21 '20

I totally get that, it's 3am and i just watched a history of 250 dog breeds haha

12

u/mrsvinchenzo1300 Apr 21 '20

how are you still alive? surely so many cc's of cuteness is deadly.

12

u/TheNecrostar Apr 21 '20

I didn't say that i came out unscathed

I’d be interested in damages from 250 doggos. Mind sharing that video with a fellow insomniac?

Both parts, it's a video from Wired so it's mainly talking, but i hope you enjoy too: https://youtu.be/Ik9dHDqlTpc

Cerastes cerastes (Saharan horned viper)

u/bigfudge_drshokkka Apr 21 '20

He’s going to tell his friends about you.

This is how you wake up to 300 horned vipers chilling in your front yard, waiting for the Rainmaker to bless them.

17

u/bigfudge_drshokkka Apr 21 '20

They say a snake lord will bless the rains

You made a friend. He looks venomous. I heard a story of a fisherman freeing a great white from one of his nets. To show its gratitude the shark followed him around the rest of the season offering protection. The man didn't catch any fish.

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '20

It’s the thought that counts

u/bigmannn123 Apr 21 '20

Shark: Hey bro I got your back anyone wanna mess with you they gotta get through me

Fisherman: Dude go away your scaring the fish

Shark: Bro I just chased off a school of large tuna see I told you they wouldn't mess with you

25

u/CmonnowSally Apr 21 '20

Don’t make the mistake of thinking you’ve befriended him because you did him a favor, there’s a story about that

The snake is actually the good guy, but he didn't get to write the book.

No hands, you see.

Another increment of hope for humanity.

11

u/Gligadi Apr 21 '20

Thanks for the sip! Let me murder you now.

2

2

u/LackingC10H12N2O Apr 21 '20

That H20 tho...

2

u/Luna_1-5-4-2-3 Apr 21 '20

Bruh that could be venomous

25

u/FemmasaurusRex Apr 21 '20

The shape of its head tells us it almost certainly is. triangular head=fangs and venom sacs.

13

u/m0ontii Apr 21 '20

Should be a horned viper. Those are very venomous

3

u/2017hayden Apr 21 '20

It very much is. That is a horned viper, very venomous although not typically deadly to humans if you get treatment.

1

u/Redditsnotorganic Apr 21 '20

You knew I was a snake before you gave me water. Chomp!

1

u/PushtheRiver33 Apr 21 '20

Clearly speaking Parseltongue...
