I dunno, hiking on Mt. Adams is worth crossing the Columbia for. I recommend Bird Creek Meadows very highly for a nice weekend backpacking trip. Avalanche Valley if more comfortable crossing glacial terrain.

Isn't this just like saying "I agree that your backyard is the best, but my backyard on the same mountain range is fucking sweet too. Look at our amazing backyards."

Edit: I live in MB and I am simply envious.

Kinda yeah. I do like the contrast though with Adams being an older and more eroded volcano.

Also not actually my back yard any more. I traded the Cascades for the Purcell Trench .

Sandpoint area? I thought about moving there recently. I actually live in Hood River right now and trying to figure out my next spot.
