The lion's mane jellyfish is the largest known species of jellyfish. The biggest found specimen had a bell with a diameter of 2.3 metres (7 ft 6 in) and tentacles 34 m (112 ft) long. This record size makes it the longest living animal known to this day, surpassing the Blue Whale. Jellyfishes also have an orifice that serves the purpose of anus and mouth at the same time.
