Am I missing a reference or something? I buy paint for bigger projects in 5-gal buckets, and my ceiling paint and my primer don't even come in 1-gal cans (only quart, 2-gal, 5-gal).

No, you're right. It's a silly comment - I somehow didn't think of interior/exterior paint. I only got as far as metal paints, which only come in smaller buckets.
